Great Christmas Gift
I bought this model as a Christmas gift for my father. As a kid, he use to build these types of model planes so I thought it would a good way for him to do something with his time during Covid and the winter months. He couldn't wait to open the box to start building. Last time I was home, he had all the pieces laid out as he plots his strategy. I am very happy with this model because it represents an era when he was young boy. My dad is going to be 90 next month and I am always looking for ways to keep his mind sharp and building models helps his thinking and thought processes. Plus, he loves anything that deals with WWII. Thank you.

Not Perfect But You Do Get Your Money's Worth
This neat kit is a re-issue by Atlantic of an older Revell model. As others have mentioned the molds show their age, and there is a fair amount of flashing to be removed. However, it is not excessive. Also, at the other extreme the right vertical stabilizer is not fully molded, giving it a scalloped edge. (For a great review and tips on how to fix this, look up the Dem Brudders overview of this kit.) Once cleaned up fit was excellent for nearly all parts, and I did not have to trim anything to fit. I actually purchased this kit to fill a gap in a simple snap-together bomber set I had already bought, “InAir Smithsonian E-Z Build 3pc Set - B-17 Green Flying Fortress, B-29 Superfortress & B-25 Mitchell”. I constructed this B-25 gear-down to match those other models. In size (though not scale) it is a bit bigger than the rest of my set, but at 1:94 was the best size match I could find. Note that the scales of all the models in my set are different, but they are all roughly the same size (12-14") which makes an aesthetic display atop my World War II bookshelf. I saved myself a lot of work by deciding that the desert tan the model comes molded in was close enough to an actual field color, and also felt it added some color variety to the rest of my green or silver set. I only applied the star-and-bar decals, and skipped the (non-historic) Buffalo Bill emblems. Note that the display stand pictured is NOT the included stand, but one that I swapped in to match the rest of my bomber set. Overall, this is a great little kit and worth the price. With this addition, I now have a nice full set of American bombers.

Fun model to build
Fun to build, model plans and parts were clearly defined.

Mid
Poor fitment and confusing instructions but it’s tolerable when finished

Very satisfied
Great build to do with my 7-year-old son. Good details but not too difficult. Some of the pieces didn’t match, so it requires some filing. But, overall, not much stress, and it looks good.

Loved it
Gave it as a Christmas present. Kid said it was his favorite gift. Put all other gifts aside and started to put this plane together.

Poor quality
Some pieces, like the clear plastic domes on the ball turrets, are off/way off from fitting well. Approximately 1/8”. Significant sanding and shaving involved to get it close. Very hard to get a round dome that’s smaller than the other round piece/base of the turret to fit together. My boys quickly lost their excitement to complete this when they realized what they were actually going to do and still wind up with a completed model that they aren’t proud of.

Not for Children
I bought this for my 9 year old nephews birthday to get him interested in aviation and unites states military history. The kit glue did not dry, had to buy a different type of glue for it to bond. The instructions were VERY VERY difficult even for me 26, and his father in his thirties i don’t know how a child is expected to do this. I also expected it to be painted for some reason the same as the box. I do not recommend for beginners or for children.
