High-Strength ABS Pole Adapter with Acme Threads for All GoPro Hero Cases

Great item to convert a “painter’s pole” (or mop... or other Long handle tool that uses that painter pole type threading) into a monopod or long-reach camera mount. I use it with an old skinny broom handle for a long “selfie stick,” and also used it to mount my GoPro on a 20’ long extension pole to inspect the gutters on my two story roof — saved getting out the big ladder.

Gecko Gear got everything right except the recess depth for the hex nut. Makes this product unusable without modifying it. I have a GoPro Hero + and the dimensions of this adapter match the standard GoPro base except for where the hex nut is supposed to recess. This makes it so the mating threaded machine screw can't engage the hex nut. Very frustrating.Perhaps others with positive reviews have a different GoPro, or have parts from a different run. Otherwise, I can't understand why there are no other negative reviews. Having to drill or notch out the recess to get the hex nut to engage is a pain.Refer to the two photos to see how far the nut should recess in the GoPro standard base, and how much it sticks up in the Gecko Gear.

ok product, just wish it had come with the thumb screw and nut required to mount a camera. Had to swipe one from another accessory.

Beware that no Nut or threaded screw comes with this, so you'll need to cough up your own.Somewhat of a Rip off for the price

Great looking product and fast delivery.I don't know if I got a defective one, I tried all my go pro threaded knobs and all too short.It appears that the depth for the nut is too short.I had to use a nut and bolt,so ease of change is limited.

It's works perfect. I use this for my GoPro4 for underwater video and photos on a 23' painters pole. I can remain in my work clothes (suit), stand on the dock and get my underwater images for selling lake front homes; showing the quality of the beech area or other underwater conditions. I suppose for some, it would be great at concerts too.

The mount works great with a painters pole. Solid construction and easy to use. The mount does not come with a screw or a nut so you have to provide your own. $14 is expensive for what you get. Its just molded plastic. The biggest flaw is that the plastic hex that holds the nut is too shallow. The nut will not stay in the hex. This is a bummer as I dropped the nut multiple time while trying to mount my camera. If they made the hex portion deeper lowered the price and included a hex nut and screw it would have been 5 stars.

They are great, except they don't have the connection nuts. Not sure why you'd sell these without them.
