Not black
Even though the picture shows and the description says black, the axle is not black. It is silver but not a regular silver. It is a slightly yellowish silver. The lock bolts and cones are black.In the 9x140mm version the cones have a 15mm outer diameter. I used it to replace a shimano sora quick release front axle and it fits perfectly. I don't like quick release. All shimano front hubs use 9mm axles in case you don't have a caliper to measure what you have. So buy the 9mm version if you are going to use it in a shimano front hub.
