Pet nail covers
Hopefully they are small enough. But should work fine

Pretty paws
I bought these because I recently purchased a new vehicle with leather seats. My dog rides with me every day. They were easy to put on she did not mind them at all. The only thing is the glue is a little difficult to get out of the tube and the instructions are written so small you can't see them. I watched a video on how to apply them and it was not difficult. I plan to reorder!

Effective, but with a big learning curve
These work, but only if you can get them on effectively. The biggest problem I had was getting the nail cover all the way on the nail before the glue bonded to it. My dog is 7 pounds, (healthy weight around 9.5 pounds) and I got a small. Maybe her nails are proportionally large for her size. Maybe the next size up would have gone on more easily. My husband held our dog while I put glue in a nail cover and put it on. I don't think I could have done it at all with my dog dancing around and pulling her foot away. After the glue dried in the tip, I used the nail Clippers to trim the excess off the ends. At 16 1/2, my dog has kidney disease and experiences weakness in her back legs. She often splays on non-carpeted floors. Since putting these on, she still stumbles from a loss of balance, but I have not seen her lose traction.Something to consider is that once these are on, they are on! The only way to get them off that I know of would be to grind them off with a rotary tool. The super glue type adhesive bonds to skin instantly. I didn't realize a small amount of glue had gotten on the applicator and bonded two fingers together. In my attempt to separate them, I got my thumb from the other hand stuck as well. The fingernail polish remover worked with some time and effort. I would NOT use these solely for cosmetic purposes!I used a scraper with a razor blade to clean the dried glue off my counter, (not sure how it got there since I had it covered.) It also helped to clean glue off my nail clipper blades. If I had bought grooming clippers and gave my dog a bad haircut, I would not blame the clippers because grooming my dog has taken time to learn. I feel the same way about these. I gave it a 4 because they do what they are advertised to do. I think what would make it better perhaps is an instructional video of someone applying them on a real dog.As others have mentioned. Being able to select a group of colors would be nice. While reviewers with male dogs got the pink, I got mostly dark colors for my female.

My 11-year-old pug broke two nails with this
Beware that even when you have trimmed the nail caps enough to not touch the skin, as the dog walks and puts pressure on the nails, they in turn push into the skin a little. If any part of the caps rub against the skin, this friction causes pain and abrations. On the other hand, if you have trimmed a cap just enough to not touch the skin when the dog puts weight on it, a small part of the nail is exposed when the paw is off the ground. This exposed area is where my dog’s nails broke. Not sure how, so just guessing that the raw edge of the caps can catch onto rough surfaces like concrete as the dog walks. I think it is relevant to note that the broken nail that seemed worse was one that tends to curve down a little.Once you glue them down there is no easy way to remove them. In my case, I did not want to aggravate the tissue with nail polish remover or other so I didn’t even try. Just bandaged until I could trim the nails, caps and all. In case you are wondering, the glue smells and works exactly the same as superglue, so probably nothing specially formulated for this application. (Superglue is considered generally safe, but you can research it and come to your own conclusions about toxicity.)I gave the caps a try because someone at the vet’s office had suggested that they may prevent my dog from slipping on hardwood floors. Now I regret putting my dog through this pain!PS I did not find that this item in particular was of bad quality, I imagine it is comparable to all the others that are available. I would recommend caution when choosing to use this class of product.

Work great
We found them much easier to fill with the glue by NOT using the pink extension tip that's provided. We couldn't tell how much glue was going in the nail tip until it was overflowing so we don't even use it. And like the directions say...be sure to trim the tips before putting them on. On the ones that were trimmed to the correct length, our dog didn't bother to try to take them off, but the ones we thought were short enough actually bothered her and she ate them off. So cut them shorter than what you think. It might look like they're too short, but it will save you a lot of grief by having to redo the tips.

Helps my senior pup grip
I kept getting ads for some rather expensive toe grips, so I searched for something more affordable and came across these. I put these on my dog expecting them to either fall off or have to take them off within about a month. The tips did come off but the function remained the same. My senior dog walks on our hard floors sooooo much better. I only put 3 on each front paw. I need to do the back paws now. I put them on over a month ago and I don’t intend to replace them until his nails have grown out to the point where I have to trim these completely off.I did buy human nail glue separately after reading reviews. The sizing chart worked perfectly for my dog. 55lb cattle dog mix.

Make to fit the end of toe!!
My dog “clicks” thru the house. Had hoped these would not “click”. They do click just as loud. The glue IS super glue. It goes on and is ON. Won’t come off without grinding dreamel. After 3 days my dog stopped walking so I sanded them off. Electric dog grinder will grind it away. My dog is walking again.****I can see where these would be extremely useful for a cracked toenail. But I would cut shorter next time so just the end of toenail is in the tip.
