Great Item. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. A good for the money. Fun to play and makes practicing more enjoyable.Update; I have played through the book. The songs were a nice selection and fit the term "Easy". The backing tracks were acceptable. For those who complained that they we not the original but the Mp3. The royalties alone would make the book too expensive to purchase.I will buy other books in this series, there are many to chose from with a lot of variety in each book. Great for students and adults and garage band players alike.

I play guitar but never played the bass. Easy to follow with tablature instruction and the CD that is included.

both musical notation and Tab seem to be right on to the original songs note for note and the backing cd is well doneThis would be perfect for a beginner to gain confidence on and fun playing all the clasic rock songs in the bookhis book and all the others from this collection is good for players like my self who have been playing for over 30 years but dont play with a band any more the backing tracks with and with out the bass make it fun for me

You have to crawl before you walk and getting your timing and groove down packed is very important as a musician-bass player. Playing along with easy to follow songs is the way to go. As they say "if you can't play it slow, then you can't play it fast :)Even for more experienced players, going back to the ground level every once and awhile is also a good thing.

Great book. Has very good and easy songs in it.

I bought the kindle addition and can't get it to open on my laptop. The kindle screen is too small for music.

These are not Easy songs, the good thing is it has tabs along with a cd.

The product is so-so; not great, not ...well, it's average.

This is OK. At a a very ripe old age I decided to learn to play an instrument and bass was it. I've been doing scales some exercises and practicing tab reading, I thought playing along to something would make it all more interesting and this had goodish reviews. I don't know what I should expect but this has 8 songs and I thought there would be more. It also doesn't have a CD but the book has a code to enable you to access and download the tracks as MP3s. Fine for me but does everyone have a playback facility off a memory stick or streamer where they want to practice I wonder. And of the two tracks for each song, the first track has the bass in the mix and the second takes it out ... but only just. Have to say, when you can get loads of free music with tab and download the original tunes, not sure this is great value ... but it'll do me for now ... and some time I fear!!!

As a newcomer to this method of playing along I can thoroughly endorse the way you can slow down the tune to help build up confidence in what you a playing. Pity some of the songs weren't quite what I want to play but hey, the rest of it is pretty good!
