Very adaptable and so far totally reliable
Very pleased all round. Just read the instructions twice to fully understand. This allows me to run a 30 metre porous hose twice daily at one time and a Garden lawn sprinkler twice a day at a different time. So far so good . I left this for 7 days and all was well. Just turn dial to "off" on return and wait until the next summer usage

Product description is not clear
I bought this so that I could water different areas of the garden at separate times because of low water pressure and this feature works well and is easy to set up. However, although it claims to have a manual override it does not make it clear that the override does not allow you to select a single outlet. This means that if I want to use one outlet for hand watering I need to fit an external shut-off valve to the other outlet. Apart from this, it works well.

Works ok when you understand it.
Not straightforward to understand and the display is very faint. Not sure on the battery life, I’ve had it 6 weeks and battery is showing half and I have not used it for all that time as my husband hates it and can’t get the hose to work with it manually.

Didn't last
Initially very happy with this simple to setup device. However, after 3 months, I put it away indoors for the winter. When I tried to set it up again it leaked terribly and constantly. There was no link to contact the original seller (Chinese company with dodgy address in Aberdeen), you are referred to the manufacturer support site (Aqualin). Three attempts to get help using their website form and live chat, no response. Will now order from a different manufacturer and supplier.

Very Easy to Use
Bought as a replacement for a failed unit (a different make). Much easier to use. Slightly smaller and easier to read. It was a cheaper unit, but in the evidence so far, is a timer I will buy again.Edit: So good, I’ve now bought another one.

Plastic deteriorates - only used for 1 year
The plastic deteriorated and the threads went making the timer difficult to attach & detach from the outside tap. Have only used for 2 summers (2023 & 2024) before plastic attachment split. Can no longer attach to outside tap and therefore can no longer use. Have submitted an email to 'product support' but have had no response. so in effect - there is no product support. it would be good if i could get a replacement part.

Great, but care needed when setting timer
This timer works really well but note for daily watering you need to set timer for 1 DAY not 7 Days (only comes on once a week). Attached to a double feed connection so my hose pipe can still be used at any time …… works great now

Adequate for the price, but some hidden 'features' made it unsuitable
I bought this hose timer because it would enable me to water some new grass seed on a frequent basis for a short amount of time so that they could be kept moist whilst they germinated. The unit itself is fairly well made, nothing exceptional, but adequate for the price. I'm dubious whether the clear panel cover would keep the rain out, as there aren't any seals to keep water out. The front panel hinge is also fairly weak in design and it popped off on me a few times, although not a deal breaker. It isn’t the most attractive unit I’ve ever seen, but options for frequent watering like this unit offers were slim.Configuration and settings are simple enough to operate and the 'left zone/right zone' button is handy. The confusion comes in the fact that the timer ignores the start times when the frequency is less than (I think) 6hrs. That is to say, if you wanted to water your grass every hour for 3 minutes like I did, then the start time is ignored and both zones will water simultaneously from the moment the schedule is activated. Given that the whole point of a multi-zone timer is that the zones are watered independently, this meant that the unit was not fit for purpose in my case. Even though I returned my unit for an alternative, I would still give the product 3 stars, because I feel for the price, it is fairly flexible for most use cases. I cannot comment on the reliability over the longer term. My recommendation for any users would be to read the documentation thoroughly, as there are some gotcha’s that aren’t immediately obvious from the product page.In case it is of relevance to other customers, I instead purchased the Diivoo Smart Sprinkler Hose Timer which is admittedly a lot more expensive than this unit, but so far I have been very pleased with the performance - in particular the ability to have schedules fully set, which means that the timer can be configured to water every hour but only between two times and so won't water over night if that isn't required. The ability to configure the schedules from a mobile phone app is also extremely useful if the schedules need to be frequently edited. The manual override on both channels is also very nicely implemented and was a pleasing addition. The Diivoo is also way more attractive than the Aqualin unit spoken about here, if that is a consideration.
