C. Allen Callen Photo Mat Double Hand Cut with Bevel Edge, 11 by 14-Inch, Ivory Gold Core

For reasons only known to themselves, my graduate program ordered the god awful expensive frames that look very lovely and then printed every single one of our diplomas on 8.5x11 paper. So for years my frame with its floating degree has been sitting in a closet. I ordered this mat because the colors matched and it was cheap. 10/10 stars, looks purposeful, matches well, only slightly crowded but again that’s not the mat’s fault. Definitely recommend for anything that needs a nice quick upgrade. It is very thick as it’s two mats, so I did use some tape to fix them together.

Going thru family pictures found one of my mom that I just loved...about 4x4" with a deckle edge black and white and somehow was lucky enough to get it to enlarge to 8x10 on a drugstore machine....found a frame just by chance in my wanderings that was larger and this mat was perfect fit for both the frame and enlargement. Absolutely perfect, and surprised I didn't know Amazon carried mats! It looks great! And far less expensive than going to a framer to have one cut!

This is the third one I have ordered and this one came in damaged...the first two were perfect and really makes my pictures look great. Even though it was Damaged Amazon issued a credit...just can't use this one as it has two creases in it.

These mats are really sturdy and look great in a frame (I used a gold frame since the mat is edged in gold - Looks great)

The matting comes in 2 separate pieces. It takes a little effort to line them up properly with one another for a uniform fit within the frame. The color combination was what I was looking for and sets off the artwork well. These are sturdy as frame matting should be.
