NordUSA, Key Grand 88-note Keyboard, Kawai Hammer Action with Ivory Touch

UPDATE: I have now had the keyboard for 13mo and have been exceptionally happy with the purchase. However, an issue has popped up where the keyboard randomly plays a key at maximum velocity. GearTree does not repair or identify a shop to repair, but the distributor American Music and Sound was extremely responsive and identified a certified shop in my area. I talked to a tech who explained the it is likely just debris in around the keys by the velocity sensors and it is common on almost all keyboards. Very good experience so far.Glad I spent a bit extra for the Nord. The fantastic acoustic and electric piano sounds combined with the Kawai weighted keys is just a perfect keyboard. I guess the only thing I really wish it had is the organ module. All-in-all, one of the best products of any type that I have ever bought.

The keyboard action in the Nord Grand is by far the best i’ve ever played in almost 40 years of playing electronic keyboards.The piano sounds are very high quality and it’s very easy to access all functions without scrolling through menus like most other keyboards. It only weighs 46 pounds, where most 88 key boards are possibly up to 20 pounds heavier

Gorgeous sounds. As expected with Nord. Love the keyboard feel.

The action is amazing. I took a leap of faith buying this without first testing it somewhere in person. I figured I could return it if it didn’t hit expectations. I previously had bought a usb m audio “hammer” 88, and I was disappointed. But I figured I would never find something that actually felt like a piano. Then I saw the Nord grand. While the action isn’t exactly a piano, it is absolutely amazing and makes other hammer keyboards feel like toys.

Really an excellent instrument, professional quality and versatility. Beautifully made too.
