Great little tool
Great little band saw for smaller jobs. Set up was easy using You Tube video guide. Nice size for a small workshop and good for cutting thinner pieces. no problems shaping 18mm plywood and copes fine with 20mm thick pieces of oak. Will go to thicknesses of around 80mm but if you are doing much work with that size of timber I would probably go for a bigger model.

Take your time setting up
Arrived 2 days before expected - nice one!As others have said, take your time setting this up - the instructions are very clear so it isn't too difficult, and will pay dividends for accuracy, reduced wear etc. There's a brilliant video on YouTube about setup, made by Axminster themselves. The steel table is an absolute bonus and makes the extra cost worthwhile - most cheaper bandsaws use aluminium and it's just not as good. All in all, a solid piece of kit!

A fine little bandsaw
With the intention of doing some small hobby work, I’m very pleased with how this bandsaw performs. It was quite easy to set up and cuts fence D-rail and pallet wood with no trouble. It’s surprisingly quiet - the Miele domestic vacuum cleaner it’s connected to is much louder. My next project is to use it to construct its own stand. For any work within its cutting range, I can easily recommend it.

Great tool, great service
I've always wanted a bandsaw, and starting the build of a cigarbox guitar was a perfect excuse to get one. I was originally looking at a cheap from a retailer with screw in their name, but that was out of stock everywhere, so after a bit of research I found the Axminster AC1400B and videos on YouTube that spoke highly of the saw and great customer service. They weren't wrong. It's very well made, very sturdy, perfect size for my workbench, and excellent customer service (I paid for two day delivery, it arrived in one). There's a great video on YT by Axminster showing the setup up, very helpful and made it a doddle.I got vacuum hose adaptor on Amazon that enabled me to attach my Henry to the extractor port, so no dust.Tip: I found using a combination square when setting the fence enabled me to get perfectly square cuts.EDIT: I'm astonished at the accuracy and fineness of the cuts I'm getting (see 4th photo) - I could make my own veneer at this rate! I cut this as a way to square up a slightly warped piece of wood, normally a job for a table saw, but I don't have room for one of those, and the band saw did just fine.EDIT: Feb 2022. I've added some photos of items I've made with the bandsaw over the past few months.

Well build but easily damaged.
I ordered this Axminster Craft AC1400B Bandsaw after trawling through loads of reviews and I decided to go with this one based on its high quality praise.Unfortunately for me, mine arrived faulty and I wasn't able to get the blade to seat properly on the wheels regardless of any form of adjustment, it just kept slipping off. This obviously isn't the case with all of these, as the good reviews I read before helped with my decision to get this one, but in my case it was a no-go.My 3* is a reflection of the product I received, however Axminster were excellent in organising the return and collection of this and their refund was prompt!

Small, versatile and easy to use.
The AC1400B is ideal for my small (2.5M*2.5M) workshop. It sits and is used on a wide shelf, not the workbench and easily connects to the dust collection system. I’ve changed to OEM blade and while the top and bottom tracking guides took some careful setting up the machine easily cuts its max depth (90mm/3.5”) in both soft and hard wood. Overall for my hobby interests it’s already proving to be a great purchase.
