first impression is they are a great deal
Just got these today. I tested that they latched properly in the tools, which they did. I then charged the battery and once charged fully I put it to the test. I placed it in my reciprocating saw and cut thru a 8 inch diameter tree root, and still has 2 bars left on the battery power meter. I cant speak to the longevity yet, but my first impression is they are a great alternative to the expensive Ryobi brand. Fingers crossed they last.

Long charge!
Works better than the original! Holds a charge long enough to do our yard! So glad for this purchase! No more doing the yard in two days!

Will not fully charge.
Out of the box, impressed. Ran 22 minutes on a load test. Then tried to recharge in Ryobi original lithium charger. . . I got 12 minutes on the load. I noticed the green flashing light sped up, but never went solid. Left the battery on overnight - not fully charged, again, still blinking rapidly.Update 06-01-2025Seller replaced both batteries. Out of the box, both gave about 12.5 minutes on my load. I then charged both batteries. I have 2 ryobi chargers. On one of the chargers, the battery did charge fully it seems, but the flashing lights did not turn steady to indicate fully charged. On the other charger, the green and red lights start flashing, go steady red and flashing green as expected to signal charge mode, then less than a minute later the lights go flashing red and green indicating a bad battery. Both ryobi chargers charge all of my other batteries in the expected manner. The battery that did charge gave more than 23 minutes on load after charging - or about 11 minutes longer than out of the box. I then swapped them to the opposite chargers. Same experience. One charger went to flashing red & green, the other went to just flashing green, neither charger ever stopped flashing green.I believe that the batteries function well, although they don't seem to interact with the chargers well. I've changed the review to 4 stars on that basis.

Theis batteries are not as powerful as stated.
The batteries are much lighter than the original Ryobi ones. These new batteries seem to last about 2/3 as long as stated in the listing. I tested the batteries and only got 2200 Mah not 3600 as stated. They also tend to overheat and shut down until cooled when drilling large holes, such as in cement or 4x4-inch treated deck supports, for lag bolt installation. The Ryobi originals never shut down and were a powerhouse of a battery.I'm disappointed in the performance of these after-market batteries, I almost need 4 fully charged batteries in my bag to finish a day job. or maybe 2 -3 higher-capacity batteries. I have had my drill for over 11 years and never had an issue until I started using the new batteries,I'm very disappointed and may need to purchase OEM or use another aftermarket brand. For home use, I think they will be fine but for on-the-job use, I can't rely on them to last or even overheat and shut down. The overheating will destroy these batteries much sooner than their normal life expectancy, OEM Ryobis lasted about 6 years with heavy use and got warm but never shut down on me.Purchase at your own risk!! If you are a casual user around the house then this brand most likely will be fine for your needs.I'm past the return date so I am stuck with them. :(
