I did not pay attention to the description and the picture. I bought this not realizing my bike has two connectors, not one. I used this as an upgrade to my 2000 sv650. My bike has the rectifier with two connectors. One connector is for 3 wires that feed ac power to rectifier. The other connector is post rectifier with polarized dc current. Anyhow, I just cut off the single connector on this rectifier and spliced the connectors from the bad stock piece onto this one. Works perfectly. Id say its about 20 percent larger than the stock one. Also, I needed two bolts that longer than the stock ones.In conclusion, I would not purchase this for a 99-01 sv650 as an upgrade. Just get the version that already comes with two connectors. 02 and up models I think. However, this regulator is working great for me.Don't forget to also buy a new battery with this. They both need to be in good condition for longevity.

This regulator gives over 12V and it ended up overcharging my battery(almost blew up), left smoking and dead on the freeway and also burnt my CDI unit, I had to buy 3 components because of this. Just buy a used OEM on e.bay.

Regulator rectifier was a not spec’d for my 2002 Suzuki SV650 but it was a direct fit. Little bit of a squeeze to get the fairing on but it fit without issues. Same plug for the 2002 as well.Seems well made and I’m hoping the larger size will help dissipate more heat. Will see how it holds up. My stock one caught on fire while riding and I definitely don’t want that happening again.Was getting 14v charging after install @ idle. Climbed a little bit with revs but I wasn’t able to extensively test the voltage @ different RPMs.

This voltage regulator rectifier worked fine for 20 months then it malfunctioned to overcharging the system damaging the battery in the busa.

Great product would buy again.

Do not buy under any circumstances. First ride didn't even go over 40 mph. Second ride went 80mph for 2 minutes, pulled over and smelt like sulphur and battery was burning. Completely fried my battery and bike wont start anymore. Don't buy. Will break immediately.

Worked for about 100 miles. The stator on the Gixxers is too powerful for the rectifier to handle...
