A great little multipurpose cooker
This machine is great for someone like me who's a college student and don't have access to a full fledge kitchen.Pros:-Compact and doesn't take up much space-Can cook a lot of foods, bot homemade and store-bought-Cooking on both pans is an ingenious conceptCons:-The blue cover on top of the Xpress is a little crooked-The steaming unit and cookbook are not included; what is included are: the machine, divider pan, deep dish pan, spatula, and the red timer.-Not really a con but this machine runs hot so be careful! Conclusion:Overall, a big improvement over the ready-set-go. Not sure if it's worth to upgrade if you already have a previous machine but if you're shopping for the first time, it's worth a try.

Travel Cooking
This has been my cook stove away from home, saving me a lot of money when I must stay in hotels and allowing me to cook for my special dietary needs. I purchased my latest one when the other was damaged by baggage handlers at the airport. It works very well and its various insert parts allow one to cook different things from Panini to stir-fry dishes.

good or bad assessment is not fair
Haven't used it yet, good or bad assessment is not fair. But, my first impression was it had to be a kids toy. No instruction book and no recipes. The cost for those are more than the unit itself. So far, seem to be a major rip off. Still deciding if returning is worth the 30 mile trip to town.

No instructions were included with this purchase. I made ...
No instructions were included with this purchase. I made omelets according to my last Xpress directions. Had to cook an additional 3/4 minutes. Also really miss the timer not part of the unit.

They don't make them like they used to
Love product except it broke within a month. I was in middle of using it when it simply stopped heating up. However, I still have original machine I got over 10 years ago. I'm returning for new one, hopefully this was just a fluke

Love the cooker, need instructions and recipes
My old Xpress 101 finally "gave up the ghost" and began shedding it's no-stick finish, so I ordered the Platinum version. Sadly, it came with NO INSTRUCTIONS and NO RECIPE BOOKLET!! (Actually, it included a small sheet of instructions for the old Xpress 101-- nothing I could use for the Platinum I purchased!) I had to do an online search to learn how to use it. I was happily surprised to learn that it can fold flat to use both surfaces at the same time, it has a timer that can be attached/detached as needed, the full round pan actually works (I couldn't close the lid & did not realize it could be used in a open position), as well as other improvements. I am still searching for recipes but have had no luck. I am hoping my old Xpress 101 recipe booklet will work with my new Platinum Countertop Cooker, but would love to try new recipes as well. These should have been included.
