A huge disappointment

Teflon finish is delicate and scratches easily, so I usually buy a new small fry pan once a year. That pan is used for eggs and not much else. In the past I've purchased Mirrow brand at our local Kroger store, but they do not have them anymore. I've had regular Farberware pans for decades and always associated the name with quality. What a terrible disappointment! This is absolutely the worst "non stick" pan I've ever had. Even with adding oil, the eggs want to stick in the middle of the pan, the surface does not come clean unless you rub it so hard that it is not good for the teflon finish, no matter how carefully you clean or how well you rinse, it is always spotted, and it is showing scratches already when we have been extra careful to not use anything at all that could scratch it!It is light weight. That is the ONLY good thing about this small fry pan.

Fry pan bottom defective and damaged my stove

I just used this fry pan for the first time this month. After three uses frying eggs, the bottom of the pan started to chip and melt? The residue on my stove burner is damaged because of how the pan reacted to heatI cannot return it, plus I bought the whole nesting set of pots and pans!!! Now what??I’m trying goof off on the stove to remove whatever it is that’s stuck there.Farberware used to be the best pots and pansMy old set was given to me in 1980!!Those were accidentally sold in an estate saleAfter seeing my pictures, Would you use the rest of the set??

Probably imitation. Don’t buy.

Terrible product. I almost wonder if it’s a knock-off. EVERYTHING sticks to this skillet. It’s astounding what a waste of money this was.

This has worked out perfectly for me.

I wanted to find a red 8" skillet with a black nonstick surface to match a much larger frying pan that I had ordered a couple of years ago. The big one came with one of those glass lids with the steam vent and so I wanted any new skillet to also come with one. Sadly, the manufacturer didn't offer a matching 8" skillet in red. The Farberware skillet didn't have such a lid but I was able to order one from another place that fit the bill perfectly. So I got what I wanted.More to the point, I can see myself using this 8" skillet ten times more often than the bigger one simply due to its much more convenient size. I typically only cook for myself and just don't need that much capacity most of the time. This one is perfect for grilling a sandwich or scrambling eggs in the morning.Clean up has been a breeze. I let it cool, then let it sit in the sink for a short time (maybe 10 minutes), and then blast it with the sink's sprayer. Everything that would have stuck like glue on a lesser cooking surface just blows off. Then it's just a matter of wiping it with a soapy sponge and rinsing. It took me longer to write the description than it did for me to actually clean the pan.Would I buy it again? Certainly. And if you're interested in a perfectly fitting lid, this is the one for you: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0798DW59C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1UPDATE 2/7/21: My frying pan still works for me but I've taken a couple of stars away because my pan is no longer red but black. It's not a matter of it not being clean. It's a matter of the outside of the pan has changed chemically without having been abused. The larger pan which I wanted this to match hasn't changed color. Only this one. This skillet has lost some of its slickness as well, though it still cleans up much easier than my original Revereware copperclad. But there was a period when it was new where I could fry an egg without any butter. No longer. So now I after use the pan, I soak it for about half an hour and then attack it with a scouring sponge.

look beneath the surface....

I badly needed a set of pots and this set seemed the solution as I am an elder and a lighter pot was a good idea .The pots had deep slash marks on the rim that appeared to done with a knife edge file.I stuck with it and put everything thru the dishwasher as per the directions .During cooking I noticed threads of teflon on the edge where the lid sat and. After boiling water there was a white residue mark where the water was, but after washing it was cleaned away. At this point, I am feeling disappointed by the amazon products arriving in this condition and heating in this was.The scuff marks where the glaze was scraped did not bother me but what should I believe about amazon good products sold thru a warehouse deal. There goes my smile again.

Fry pans good quality, but packaging careless

First off, these are decent pans for the money and well-made. Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about the packaging they arrived in, which is another story entirely. The pans were packed in a carton that was 2X larger than needed. Like a BB in a boxcar. The pans were loose inside, with only a bit of bubble wrap thrown in for good luck. This resulted in pans with burrs and dents all along their rims from the two items shifting around inside and striking one another. Some of the paint on the bottoms was scratched off; fortunately, the teflon finish remained intact. I now have to use some fine-grit sandpaper to remove the sharp edges and dings from the edges of the pans.In short, a reasonably good product, but hampered by careless packing methods. Somebody in the Amazon shipping dept. needs some re-training.Here's some free advice: wrap the pans together so they STAY together in transport. Then pack them in a carton that is the appropriate size.

NOT dishwasher safe

Definitely NOT dishwasher safe. Mine lasted three months and the nonstick is all gone. It would be a good little pan if you washed it gently by hand.
