Worked for 2005 Toyota Sequoia Transponder Keys

We had two transponder keys cut for our 2005 Toyota Sequoia at a local locksmith for $10 total. This is the procedure we used to program our keys on 12-31-2024. There are lots of suggestions on the way to do it, and this is what worked for us.Delete Keys:When we began, we deleted all keys except for the one used for the deletion procedure. One of our keys got lost in a school parking lot so we wanted to delete it from the vehicle. It is said that the vehicle memory can store 4 Master keys and 2 Valet keys. We now have 4 programmed Master keys and 0 Valet keys.1) Close all doors2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder3) Turn the ignition from LOCK to ON 6 times within 15 seconds - on the 6th time, leave the key in the LOCK position4) Open and close the driver's door 7 times within 20 seconds5) Remove the Master key6) Open then Close the driver's door to end the processAdd Keys:1) Close all doors2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder3) Turn the ignition from LOCK to ON 5 times within 15 seconds - on the 5th time, leave the key in the LOCK position (Others have suggested leaving it in ON but that did not work for us.)4) Open and close the driver's door 6 times within 20 seconds5) Remove the Master key6) Insert the new blank key and turn to ON position7) Leave in ON position for at least 60 seconds (Our Immobilizer light did not blink during registration mode, nor did it turn on or give us any indication when a key registered. We left each key in for 120 seconds and all keys worked.)8) After 60+ seconds, remove the key9) Open then Close the driver's door to end the process10) Test the key to make sure it works. One of our keys hesitated to start the vehicle and it did not start. We started the vehicle with the Master key and then again with the new key and it has worked multiple times since then.

Got it cut and it works!

I bought this to replace a lost key for my 2006 Toyota Sienna. Going through a dealership would be much more expensive. Some local locksmiths were quoting a higher price for a replacement car key as well. Took it to Home Depot, got it cut, and then programmed it myself. Saved a bunch of money. The programming instructions I found online took a few tries to get it right. These are the ones that worked for me:1. Sit in your van with all doors closed. I opened and closed the door one time to 'clear' the system.2. Insert your original master key to key cylinder 5 times and leave it there ('in' and 'out' four times, just 'in' the fifth time).3. Open and close driver side door 6 times. Should be closed when you do the next step.4. Remove master key from key cylinder, and within 5 seconds insert your new cut transponder key. (NOTE: the original instructions I found said to then turn the new key to the ON position, but that didn't work for me. Someone suggested completing the steps without turning to ON and that worked for them, tried it and it worked for me too.)5. Look at that red engine immobilizer light (the red light to the left of the speedometer which is car shaped with a black key in the middle of it). It is solid indicating it's in programming mode. After inserting the new key it will begin blinking. Wait about 1 min up to 90 seconds and it will turn off by itself.6. After engine immobilizer light turns off, remove new key and insert original master key. Start engine.7. Now try your DIYed new transponder key to start your Sienna.Obviously different models or different years of Sienna the programming instructions may vary. And even doing the same steps it took a few tries before it worked for me. But hey, way cheaper to do it myself!

2008 Toyota Sienna 😀

Purchased for a 2008 Toyota Sienna, got them cut at a Local Hardware store. Programmed them myself from instructions found on the internet and they work great!! Make sure your OEM keys have the little “dot” on the blade as indicated in the advertisement. Sit in vehicle with doors closed insert & remove OEM key from ignition (5) five times, on the (5th) fifth time leave the OEM key in the ignition. Open and close driver’s door (6) six times, leave door closed on the (6th) time. Remove OEM key, the vehicle’s immobilizer light will now be “on/lit” continuously. Insert the newly cut key into the ignition the immobilizer light will blink for approximately (1) one minute then the immobilizer light will “turn off/go out”. Remove the newly cut key from the ignition. It is now programmed.

Key replacment

These key blanks look good - same size/shape/build quality as the original (for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma). However, I was unable to find a locksmith who would cut them for less than $190, and at that price I could get the keys made just about anywhere (with the blank included). So, I never actually used them. But if you know a locksmith who will do it for a reasonable price these seem like a very good product.

Transponder keys for 04 Toyota Camry

Worked perfectly & I was able to program them myself for free and I had Lowe’s cut the keys for $5.99. I also bought a remote for locking doors on here too for 13.95 it programmed perfectly as well. Happy customer.

Save your money! Won't program

2005 Camry XLE.Okay, I tried both ways to program these. I tried both keys. The same error code blinking always. 2 short then 1.I tried programming them with the Tom's Keys TSL-2 and using the door slam method. No joy.Too many keys is NOT an issue. I cleared all prior keys so the computer reads 1 Master, no Valet. That code has to mean no chip. Or, it's the wrong chip in a Dot stamped key. Either way WORTHLESS!Now I am outside the return window, so I have to eat this one.Don't waste your time and Amazon's money, doing returns. Buy from Tom's Keys or Keyless-Remotes. Little more money; a lot less hassle!
