I've used many expensive protractors in jobs I've had, and although much cheaper (and thinner metal) these ones do a great job! Absolutely brilliant for the price to be fair!The screw isn't perfect, but it holds well and does the job. It doesn't fall apart, and isn't useless as some have mentioned. It does seem like there's some kind of design defect with the screw mechanism though (slots not the same size), but doesn't really affect the functionality. Someone said something about it the readability not being perfect, I guess that's just luck of the draw, but in my case it was machined just fine.Unless you're buying these for heavy use in a industrial environment, get them, they will be fine. (To be honest, they'd probably still be fine - I would just prefer thicker metal in that case).

Bought to do quick check on tool bit grinding angles, ok for that but made a couple of improvements: the tension washer was a bad fit on the spigot causing the rotation to lock up and movement of the pivot so I changed it for a fibre washer, and the pointer was not easy to read on the scale, so reground it, now happy with it for the price. Accurate to 0.1 degrees.

At first it looked ok but as soon as I went to use it I found it is completely useless. The screw stripped the threads when trying to tighten it using very little force. As a result it now is not useable. Don't waste your money on this rubbish
