Works well with edits
Had to use my dremel tool to cut away a portion of the bottom to fit the 90-degree headphone jack I needed to use within it. This did not have enough space for power, and a headphone jack to be plugged in. I needed to use this mount to control in-room audio, as played off the ipod placed within the holder. Once the plastic was cut away to make room for the plug it closed up neatly, and you cannot tell it was modified at all.

Overhyped
The black is dull. The finish is not prefect. It seems like the original positive mold might have been 3d printed and then made from that set -- or CNC is not perfectly smooth.
