This small lantern works great! When I got it, I was a little worried because it does feel a bit flimsy and cheap since it is made of thin plastic. But I decided to put it through a couple of tests to see just how good the lantern was. So I removed the 3 batteries, turned the lantern on, and put it in a small room to see how long the light would last. During the day the room was bright from sunlight, but the solar pad on the top of the lantern did not get direct sun. Much to my surprise, it took a full WEEK before the light went out! I was really impressed. After it went out, I set the lamp in direct sunlight during the day and in the evening, turned it on again. By the morning, the light was still just barely lit. Not bad for a solar charge.As I said, I am really impressed by the longevity of the light on a solar charge and the battery back-up makes it even better! I am confident that this lantern will provide us with all the light we will need in one evening on a single charge and will charge sufficiently the following day to get us through the next night. I am very happy with this purchase.NOTE: You CANNOT charge an iPhone on this lantern. This is mentioned in an answered question, but I thought I'd mention that here as well.

Excellent product, the light is very bright ..The lamps came full charged, So you can use it immediately. You just need to pull up the upper side of the lamp using the two hanger and the lamp turn on. To turn off just close the lamp. I love the easy way to use this lamp. I tested for 1 hour and the light was all the time very bright.The lamp look very strong and good quality. I bought 3 lamps for my beach house in Costa Rica to use it in my backyard during the night and for emergency.

First and foremost, this lantern is awesome. I haven't been able to test it in the outdoors yet, but it lights up a dark room pretty well. Comes with and S hook so you can fold up the arms and hang it from something. If I had to make a complaint, and this is just for the sake of the review the arms on the latern that you hold or hang it up with seem pretty cheap and easy to break, but the total of the item was $12 so I'm not worried about it. I haven't utilized the battery life on it or plugged it into a charger, but the solar power aspect of it seems endless. I have it sitting in my room not even near a window (granted its in the off position) and it never dies. Every time I open it it is full power with bright light. I did forget it under my sink in the on position once for about 5 days, and even then a dim light was still visible. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap reliable light that is a quality product. Also, I haven't utilized the usb aspect of it either, but will update my review when I go camping next! This is very handy to have around. Our power went out about a month ago and we had to use this light. It will also charge your cell phone, but it is very slow and it doesn't seem to help all that much. As a light, it is very bright, almost blindingly so, but we just put it in the corner and it worked out fine. I am glad I bought this, and I will probably buy one for my son, who is in college.

I bought this product at the same time I bought a battery operated camping light. Although it was smaller then expected, it actually gave off an impressive amount of light & lasted long after the sun went down. The same as the battery powered light. Plus my kids got a kick out of finding the sunniest spot each day to ensure their light would work. I would buy this product again. Many people asked where I got these because of great quality.

Quite nice, especially for the price. Convenient and I liked that it can be charged from a wall outlet, solar and also use conventional battery.It produces light bright enough to for cooking and eating at night on a campground with no other light source.. Build quality seems adequate

How pleasantly surprised at the light this little guy can emit!!! Jinkies, wouldn't have expected all this light from such a small (soda can size when collapsed) lantern... also note that it can be powered by solar charge,electric via usb cable input, or batteries - options... just love 'em! This is a keeper.

This lamp is very useful. I brought it to my last camping trip, my family loved the fact that you just pull it down and it lights up. I kept it charging outside and was able to use it the second night. The only down is that i tried to charge my phone with this and didn't work. Irecommend having a couple batteries just in case.
