After enduring almost 3 years of having to have my temperature taken every morning before I could enter the building to go to work (Covid nursing home rules) I can say that this little thing is far superior to the "gun" shaped one's that the NH was using. Most of the time those ones just gave a big old error sign. In which case they just wrote down a number and let me in (I know, right!). This one is very fast. Easy to use. Easy to read. Nice and small. I got rid of all my other ones and this is it! I can see where it would be excellent on babies and small children as it is very fast. Great thermometer!

I bought this to use at my job because I work in the medical field. It’s not a reliable enough way to take a temp so I ended up leaving it at home and we use it here. It’s never wrong on a high readings. You do have to be careful with how you use it. I point and push the button several times in several spots around the temple area with hair out of the way about 3cm away from the skin. The highest number reading is usually the closest to what an oral temp would read. It’s definitely been a life saver with our toddler. Each time I’ve had to cross check with an oral or rectal temp it’s always very close to the cross check reading.

I purchased this in hopes to have an easy way to monitor my elderly father in law, as he is susceptible to getting UTIs. I didn't get a chance to use it until shortly after the return window had closed but I can say with certainly, it is garbage. Not only is it not accurate, the temp will change by many degrees up or down when taking the temp repeatedly in the same spot. Steer clear of this one.

This thermometer is WORTHLESS! Every temperature is significantly different for the same patient. I have tried it multiple times and each time it’s the same crappy readings. The kicker was the 97.1 reading for a patient with a 102 fever! Save your money and don’t buy this garbage!
