Reminds me of hot Southern Summer nights. It's the only perfume my husband has ever really loved on me, and the only one I have ever gotten so many compliments on when wearing.First off, this is definitely authentic. However that being said, Cabotine, being a very affordable perfume, would be kind of silly to even try to fake. I doubt there are any fakes even in existence of this perfume when I've seen bottles for $15, and aren't very difficult to acquire at Stores like Ross, Marshall's, T.J. Maxx, and the various sites online with even further discounted prices. But, yes, this was definitely authentic Cabotine Gold.Right out of the bottle, it is slightly heavy but it calms down quickly to a soft melony-tiare-bourbon-vanilla-amber with a hint of vetiver on the dry down that somehow stays feminine and soft. Normally, this combination can be heady and cloudy, hanging in a migraine inducing auric fog. I've experienced this in other fragrances before using this one when I was looking specifically for something with these notes in this order. The melon keeps it young and fresh but not too young. The top notes remind me a little bit of Clinique Happy, but then it becomes a lovely Chanel Mademoiselle dupe respectively, however with a little bit more of an edge due to the bourbon and vetiver. The dry down reminds me of Bandit or Cabochard. It feels classy and elegant, bright and fresh, but also enigmatic and androgynous without being overly masculine. It's just the right bit of everything for me and it's been hard to find anything that I love more than Cabotine Gold. And believe me, I have tried. I've tried gourmands, florals, classics, antiquated eau de colognes, citruses, chypres, incensual resinous old fashioned EDP's.... I've tried all the expensive and trendy ones, the TF's, various niche fragrances, yet I always come back to Cabotine Gold. It's a $15 EDT that smells like a $100 EDP. It's like Lauren Bacall in a bottle. You just can't duplicate or replace that. It's sultry/classy/edgy.Also, a note about the seller... I had specifically chosen this listing after scoping out all other listings, and due to the value went with this one. At the time I purchased, this was for two 3.4 oz bottles for $22.95. Though this is not a pricey fragrance, the deal was still incredible. Compared to some of the others on here that are $20 for (1) 3.4 oz bottle, I basically got one free. Normally it's about $17-$20 for just one 3.4 oz bottle. So naturally, I chose this one.However, when I received my package, there was only one bottle. I contacted the seller and they asked for a picture of my shipping label with box and product. I responded with that, and they quickly got back to me replying that they would be shipping my 2nd one out today and it was an error in the system. I was kind of bummed, and had actually expected (due to previous experiences with other sellers making me a bit pessimistic) that I wouldn't get the 2nd bottle that the listing had advertised and my first thought was.... I should have went with the listing for 1 bottle for $15 and just gotten two of them.... But this seller was quick in communication and resolution. Although it will be shipping today, therefore haven't received the 2nd bottle just yet, I trust that I will receive it soon. I am very happy that the seller resolved this, and promptly. At first, I wasn't going to say anything about the error since it was being corrected, but I really felt it would be best to share that this error was resolved, and my experience with this seller has been great. I think that says a lot about a seller when there is an issue, how it is resolved, and how quickly they resolve it.If you're looking for Cabotine Gold - pick this one!
