I bought this item to free up outlet space and the need to unplug one charging cord and replace with another. I was excited when it came and I plugged it in the wall outlet. The individual outlets lit up a pleasant blue color and so I plugged in my first item for charging and the phone showed that it was charging . All well and good. Next item to be charged was my iPad. Plugged it in a free socket and it started to charge. GREAT I THOUGHT! So I went to get my wife’s phone and came back and my phone and iPad were not charging! I unplugged both items and plugged them into the wall socket and they started to charge. I removed charging block and put it aside to see what was wrong. I happened to pick up the charging unit and as I did it flashed the light blue color . Curious I plugged it into the Wall socket and all the ports lit up the light blue color. Okkkk ? So I plugged the previous 2 items into the charging station and they both indicated they were charging. Went into the other room to fetch my wife’s phone again and returned to find a repeat of the previous 10 minutes. I unplugged the unit and the 2 items that were plugged in . I put them aside waited 5 minutes and low and behold the charging unit flashed . I repeated the above steps once again and noticed a repeat. I did feel the unit and it was warm but not hot when something inside tripped.Since it was out of the return window I threw it away. I purchased a wall outlet with two normal sockets and 2 additional usba sockets replaced the old socket and all is working fine.BOTTOM LINEthis is not worth buying and I’m not sure if it is supposed to cut out at a certain temperature. If so I think it could be dangerous and I’m not willing to risk it. I would not recommend buying this
