COOSPIDER U/V/C Light Lamp 253.7nm Bulb Timer 5/15/30 Minutes with 5ft Cord and Plug 110V 6W (No Ozone)

I ordered the product and it worked well for several weeks. The bulb did stop working as a few other reviews have stated. When I notified the company of the problem they replaced it promptly and the new light and timer have been working well.

1) it produces ozone and i know because i can smell it and it makes me sick.2) I used it a week for about an hour max and it no longer works. Not really surprised except for all the great reviews it got. Wondering how many of those were real. The timer remote still works, but the UV-C bulb no longer comes on. No burn marks like it burned out...just stopped working. You get what you pay for, but this product was appropriately priced for what it was. Save yourself and choose something more reliable.

So far its holding up. I bring with me on my travels. The timer does stay on depending on time selected. I dont smell anything (ozone smell) after it completes time. I have no way to check and this is the reason for prior researching for anyone that has truly tested that it kills bacteria, mold , virus growth. I prefer that that its a longer cord. To clarify: Product, not necessarily the company, got good testing review on YouTube(unbiased)

THE LAMP IS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED, EVEN BETTER, I SAW SOME WERE UPSET WHEN THEY GOT AN ON/OFF SWITCH INSTEAD OF A TIMER, I THINK THAT MAY BE BECAUSE THEY DIDNT REALIZE THERE WERE TWO OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM AT THE TIME, I ALMOST MADE SAME MISTAKE. IVE USED MINE SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY WORK GREAT, TIMER HAS 5/15/30/60 MIN SELECTOR, LIGHT IS SMALL BUT IT SAID THAT IN SPECS, THEY ARE PERFECT FOR USING IN PLASTIC TOTES/ BOXES/ ANYTHING REALLY. I BOUGHT SOME WIRE CLOSET RACKS AND SET THEM UP IN MY COAT CLOSET, PLACED LIGHTS ON THE FLOOR, CEILING, LEFT AND RIGHT WALL, I PLACE MY SHOES , MAIL, MASKS, JACKET, ANYTHING I HAVE ON ME WHEN I GET HOME, OH YEAH MY GROCERIES, I WAS SPRAYING THEM WITH LYSOL, NOW I PUT THEM ON THE RACKS AND THE LIGHT GETS ALL AROUND THEM IN ONE "COOK". I WAS HAVING TO TURN OVER AND REDO FOR ALL SIDES. THAT WAS TIME CONSUMING AND ANOYING. I TOTALLY RECOMEND THESE TO EVERYONE, IF I DONT BUY THEM ALL UP FIRST THAT IS. ONE DRAW BACK IS THERE ISNT A PROTECTIVE COVER FOR THE BULB, UVC WOULDNT GET PAST IT. IM TOLD ANYTHING SOLID TRAPS THE RAYS EVEN GLASS, SO I MADE WIRE CAGES TO COVER MINE AFTER I DROPPED ON TWICE, IT STILL WORKS BY THE WAY. STAY SAFE, STAY ALIVE!

Uncertain how to measure the effectiveness of this product in disinfecting a room.

Got this after getting one of those corncob LED UV-C lamps. I measured the UV-C output of the LED device using a meter (solarmeter.com) and found it was putting out ZERO UV-C light — total scam. That light is being returned. This one works great. I’m measuring 300uW/cm2 at a distance of a few inches. I like that the timer has delayed activation, so you can get away before the light comes on. You do NOT want to be in the room when this is on — UV-C can cause cancer in any tissue (e.g., skin, eyes). I’m using it to disinfect small items such as packages, by putting the items and the light in a big light-tight box, with air circulation in the room to disperse any ozone it makes.

I received this product in early May of 2020 - for use in disinfectant for masks. In that role I used it about 3 times a week for 5 minutes at a time. It stopped working in early October (used a total of 6 hours). I purchased additional bulbs, and that didn't work. I replaced the cord - also no luck. The fixture itself is burned out.

I purchased two of these UV-C lights. Both stopped working within a few weeks. I opted to replace them instead of a refund (I gave them the benifit of the doubt). Within a few weeks one of the replacements has already stopped working ( died with a large popping sound). I would not recommend these pooly made uv-c lights.UPDATE: 6-9-2020 - The second replacement died with a large pop. that means that all 4 units failed to last at least a month. they were used sparingly (approx 15 min a day).
