Good, even if you have no heat pump
This thermostat is just like every other programmable thermostat out there. It works good; no problems.What I bought this thermostat for is because I was looking for one with an Em. Heat setting so that I can turn on my heat strips without my compressor kicking on, because I don't have a heat pump. (I live in Florida.)If you don't have a heat pump, but you only have an electrical heating element, this is the programmable thermostat you're looking for. It will work if you have a heat pump as well! But there is also a switch to utilize only the element and fan. This is exactly what I needed.Also, the on/off delay is <1 degree for me. Not 4. đź‘Ť

Great Alternative to Smartphone Thermostats - Programmable AND Compact
If you're looking for a good, all around, user friendly, programmable thermostat, particularly for vertical installation, look no further. (Can be used regardless if user has vertical requirement or not, but wall space was critical in my application.) Arrived sealed, NIB, Honeywell packaged very well with a dust sleeve & everything. Both Installation & end user Operations manuals included. Very easy to install with rudimentary understanding of HVAC/residential wiring. Has proven to be effective as a cost savings programmable alternative to the more popular "nest" and others with smartphone control options.

Don’t buy
Unless you want an opened, maybe used.. clearly returned thermostat. Second one I ordered. First box looked old and water logged. Second one opened. Done

The thermostat works well. I think it will save gas as it runs the burner for a short time and then the fan. It brings the temperature up slowly.

4 degree on-off delay
set it to 74. won't turn on until it's 78, then it won't shut off until it's 70. I'm never comfortable. Worst thermostat ever.
