Things are heating up!
The relationship with Robin and Zylas is finally advancing! And the mystery of what Claude and his allies are doing keeps building. There's a lot more action in this one, especially the finale, wow. This book also brings in a lot more references from the other series set in this universe. There's a note at the beginning that recommends that one have read the first several of the other books to really appreciate this one and avoid spoilers. I tried to do that, but didn't have the patience and only read the first one from Mages and Warped before I had to come back. That gave me enough background to recognize the other characters, but I felt like I actually preferred having the extra layer of mystery of not knowing their plots til this point. In terms of content, this book definitely up the spice and tension a little, but there is nothing explicit. A threat of rape appears briefly. There is the same level of violence as previous books.

wish the series were longer

Such a great series!
So much Zylas, so much slow burn, so much tension, I LOVED it. Here we see Zylas and Robin take it up on a notch in everything, their romance, the plot, the danger surrounding them, their search for her parent's murder and their quest to send Zylas back home (no!!!!). We get a lot more interaction between Robin, Zylas, Ezra and Tori, it's extremely well done and adds a fabulous element to both series. We even get a bit of Kit and Lienna, perfectly placed in the story. I am beyond excited to continue reading, if you are somehow STILL debating committing to this series, RUN, don't walk and start it!!

Good
Robin, Zylas and Amalia are working to find a way out of the fix they find themselves in. Robin is translating the grimoire and trying to learn from her ancestresses.Meanwhile there have been some attacks on guilds, and it becomes obvious that it might just have connections to Robin’s own case…Occurring concurrently with Tori’s story, we get to see a little of what is happening when she isn’t around: particularly with regards to Ezra. In fact, we get to see a rather interesting side of the enigmatic mage, and some very interesting events occur in this book with respect to his issues. In fact, Robin really begins to shine in this one, putting aside a lot of her natural timidity in order to do the right thing, and in the end she comes out of it a stronger person. This one is filled with the action and magic you’ve come to expect from an Annette Marie story, with a few extras for fans.A thoroughly entertaining and engrossing story for urban fantasy and contemporary fantasy fans.

ANOTHER WINNER!
Robin and Zylas, what a duo. The adventures, dangers and surprises never end. This series is sooo much fun! One more book to read before their story comes to an end, right? Sorry, I want them to continue.

It is no secret that I love these books, and I will gush over them to anyone, anywhere, at anytime. Every book just gets better. Have you ever gotten an adrenaline rush while reading a book? No? You've been reading the wrong books, let me introduce you to Annette Marie and her pure, undiluted genius.I'm telling you, at the end of every single freaking chapter I would pause, (usually for reasons other than actually wanting to pause,(ie, kids and work/food delivery *eye roll*)), and just think to myself, "I have so many questions..."Then I'd get to the next chapter and some of those questions would be answered, and yet I'm still over here thinking, "I have so many questions...", and that's how went for twenty eight chapters. I audibly gasped several times. I also, frequently, found myself literally bouncing in place with all the emotions racing through my veins so energetically that they had to be released SOMEHOW.This was really inconvenient while I was waiting in restaurant lobbies for food to be prepped for delivery to hungry people. I'm pretty sure I got some funky side eye from other patrons, not that I know this because my eyes were glued to the effing page. There were unexpected delights in this, and twists that leave me very concerned for the future of the series, (as in the FINALE of this series). And mostly I didn't have a full on panic attack because I know that Robin and Zylas have one more book before their story is done. So, just remember that when it gets stressful. There is one more book, so they have to pull through, right? Right??? OMG please let them pull through for the next book?!?!Thankfully, I have read all of Annette's work, and so... I trust her... mostly. I trust her to fix all the things, and answer all the questions, and make it all work... even through right now I'm freaking scared out of my mind about it all. Seriously... so. many. questions. And now, I wait until July for the next Guild Codex release, because I definitely need to know what the hell happened on the other side of this coin while Robin was becoming an even more extreme badass. I'm so proud of her. I'm going to be processing this for DAYS, maybe weeks. Probably weeks. I'll be rereading this again soon, because there is so much. This world is so rich, and the story line is so RICH. It's interwoven beautifully. These books are easy to read, they read really fast, and there is such depth to them in the midst of the action that you can't help but love it all completely.

Heart palpitating book ❤️
If you haven’t read any of Annette’s Guild Codex books I recommend you start, so you can quickly delve into Hunting Fiends. At times I found myself reminding my lungs to breath and my heart to beat as the story caught in my throat and chest. You can’t help but fall in love with Zylas in Hunting Fiends, while you discover his personal side. Aside from the emotional read is unearthing the fiery mystery behind Claude, mysterious new arcana and more!

All I ever wanted and more!
I am genuinely jealous of anyone who has yet to read this book. It's THAT good. I'm on my third re-read and it only came out a week ago!If you're new to Annette Marie's writing, you're in for a treat. She just writes so well! I kind of want to keep her a secret but these books are too good not be shared with everyone. Her characters are engaging and believable - they have great personalities, they realistically struggle to navigate life, they develop and they have great interactions with other characters. You'll find yourself daydreaming and thinking about these characters long after you have finished the book. You also risk laughing out loud, crying and snorting to yourself so be prepared for your household to give you strange looks as you read it!The plot is fast paced but clearly well planned and thought out. Annette Marie is the master of plot twists and pacing and as you read you can feel the pieces of the puzzles she's cleverly laid out come together.*vague plot spoilers ahead*In terms of this book specifically... I was really looking forward to seeing how Zylas and Robin's relationship would pan out - and I was not disappointed. In fact, I got far more than I'd been hoping for! There are some incredible moments in this book - you can FEEL the uncertainty, the tension, the hope. Honestly, some of the most tender scenes I have ever read. I love romantic moments but I sometimes struggle with the smut or cliches authors tend to rely on. There is none of that here. You get ALL THE FEELS and the stomach lurching butterflies from some truly mind blowing writing. We get some questions answered but there's plenty more for Robin and her demon to try and work through together.

Unglaublich unterhaltend

Awesome beyond words!
Wow! My head is still spinning. What such an amazing book! Annette Marie is a queen author. I mean, this story is beyond wonderful. I couldn’t put this book down. I loved book 1 and 2 of the Demonized series and this one is even better is possible.Zylas and Robin relationship is evolving and getting more and more interesting as well as the plot. We learn more things about Zylar and his past but also how Robin is doing with her grimoire, that is going to be a good influence in her beliefs about many things.Awesome characters and plot. Funny scenes, different species, magic, demons, mages, evil creatures, twist, friendship, fights, angsty and sweet moments. This book is everything and I’m already counting the days for book 4.
