A great value at a reasonable price!
I just started watercolor painting as a result of the whole outbreak thing, and although I discovered that it is something I really like to do, I had such terrible brushes that I threw them out after two uses. I did research on better brushes, and although the Silver Brush Black Velvets are not cheap, they came highly recommended from many professional artists. They’re also much less expensive than many high end brands also recommended. I picked a trio of round brushes with pointed tips in smaller to medium sizes. The brushes were delivered with super speed (the initial arrival time was changed from end of April to this coming Saturday, but they were ACTUALLY delivered yesterday (Thursday). All three brushes were pristine on arrival and appeared durable. There’s a learning curve for any art, and watercolor is definitely a challenge for someone like me who is not artistically inclined with paints. I can’t even paint a WALL. Getting to know how much water and paint these lovely brushes each hold is quite the study in patience and perseverance because they’re SO water loving, but that’s not by any means a flaw. They are a pleasure to paint with for washes of color and tiny details alike, and the price of a three pack is pretty reasonable for the great quality. I’ll definitely be ordering more brushes from this company. I’m very pleased and so glad I found something that works and that doesn’t make my inner frugal girl go absolutely insane.

Silver Black Velvet Brushes Changed My Watercolor Game
So I'd been painting along with decent brushes for a while when I ventured out and bought this set and I was not disappointed. They hold water very well and the tips, even on the larger brushes, allow for painting detail. Using these brushes changed my watercolor game and I felt much more in control of the water and the ability to paint details as well as washes.

So this is what quality feels like!
I've been attempting to watercolor for the past 3-4 years now and have literally been using kids/big box store quality paints and brushes the whole time. I've had some decent success.I just decided to up my game a bit and get some somewhat good paints and brushes. My goal was to spend under $60 for both. I did alot of research and looked closely at alot of amazing artists that I follow on youtube and instagram. Alot of them used silver brushes.I was a bit hesitant to buy these cause amazon does often carry alot of "fake" items. And I have seen the reviews that people recieved knockoffs. I was dead set on paying a bit more and going to a physical store to pick them up. Then..... Pandemic! All the art stores are closed. So I took a chance figuring I could return if nessasary. The ones I recieved were perfect! Shape was great, and seemed very sturdy. Dont yet seem to be fakes bit then again I'm no expert. If they are fakes im pretty happy with there fakeness.I have literally had to re learn watercolor painting becuse of the amazingness of these brushes. I'msimply not used to the massive amount of water retention and color capacity. It's fantastic.I cant recommend them enough!

Nice brushes. Hold a point.
These brushes are quite different to other watercolor brushes I’ve seen. The fibers are cut into a point, instead of rolled. This means there is a large belly of the brush to hold the water and fewer longer strands to paint fine lines. It took me a while to get used to this. I do like this brush set but I wouldn’t say it has changed my painting skills significantly (of course I was naively hoping for some magic to happen!).

Holds water
Decided to try these brushes after seeing so many artists recommend them. They were packaged well and arrived quickly. I still have to get used to them as they hold a lot more water than my other brushes. They hold their shape well and have a really nice tip. I’m expecting they will soon be my favorites.

Thirsty brushes!
I love these brushes! The three sizes are great and they really hold a lot of water. These are very versatile brushes and can help advance beginners in watercolor control. Definitely will buy again.

Exceeded my Expectations
I received my brushes in peak condition. They all had perfect shapes, the points coming to a finer tip than I had originally anticipated. Mind you, that is a great thing! I had watched many of my favorite artists on youtube use these brushes, and have wanted to try them for a while now. Now that I've got a few of my own, I see what the hype is about! The blend of synthetic and genuine squirrel is beautiful, giving ample water capacity and snap back.My only complaint was that for the smallest brush, the glue was difficult to remove and clumped up at first. I was very worried, as these are some of the most expensive brushes I've purchased. I for sure didn't want to ruin the bristles by being too rough, trying to remove the glue. Dousing the brush with water worked for the larger two, but I ended up having to take a fine toothed comb to remove the glue from the small one. In conclusion, the brush works just fine and still holds its shape. It was a minor inconvenience at most, but nothing that would keep me from recommending these to other watercolor artists.
