Works 100% as intended without drama.
This is the real deal. I finally bought this after buying so many nonsense no name brand CF readers again and again off Amazon that kept corrupting photos during transfer or failing outright within the first month or two. There is a lot of garbage on the market. This is not one of them.

Expensive but Fast and Worth It
If you want accurate speed readings on SD cards, then your reader and cable need to be adequate. This reader works. I was skeptical of the performance of a card I recently bought and was questioning its authenticity. This proved it was an old, outdated reader. The card was good. Performance of this is fast. Expensive compared to budget readers for obvious reasons.

Broken USB Port Issue SOLVED!
If you want a word straight up about the product on whether or not to get it, I definitely would recommend getting it.My story is that I came from using a M1 MacBook device that doesn't have a native SD card slot. It was reported that M1 devices were having issues with SD cards and separate occasions for SanDisk SD cards reportedly failing before in people's cameras from fellow photographers. That's where I was skeptical if it was the SD card or the hardware reading port. Thankfully it was the port where this thing came in handy. I was backed up on multiple SD cards for shoots, trying to find ways to upload images and transferring via apps was a complete waste of time. This thing reads SD cards like it's nothing, even my LexarPro; if you were worried about the reader only working exclusively for SanDisk products, don't be! This thing opens up the CF slot for me as I do have CF cards and would continue to be an answer if I switch camera bodies that has these cards, such as Nikon bodies or etc.To say if this device will work for me long-term, we will have to see after a year or so.

Has versatility and nice slim profile
I like that you have several different options for data cards and it has a nice slim profile so sits quietly and unassuming on my desktop.

You can trust SanDisk
There are dozens of card readers that are cheaper but read their reviews: they are cheap for a reason. Check the specs: this card reader might be the one you've been searching for.I also want to give a shout-out to the third party seller CalvinNHobbs: perfect service and they shipped quicker than Amazon does and unlike Amazon this was brand-new still sealed in the packaging.Amazon actually sends out "returns" as if they are brand-new. It's happened so often that I assume that anything I buy here has a very good chance of being a used item.

Fast and reliable.
Love it. I've tried three other readers and found this one the only one to hit the max read speeds according to the SD cards ratings. Previous card readers no matter if they were usb 2 or 3, plugged into usb 2,3,3.1 ports never copied files faster than 45Mb/s. This reader his 125Mb/s on the slower cards and on the high perf 225Mb/s.50 minutes vs 10 minutes to copy off a SD card allows me to shave a hour or two after a photo shoot and reduces the possibility of an outside interruption to the process (windows updates, backups, family). If you get distracted like I do the speed reduces the chances of forgetting what stage of my process I'm at.Two previous card readers would overheat and stop working, often corrupting files or worse the card itself. This reader handles multiple cards easily without overheating. As for the card corruption, solved the problem by formatting the sd card in camera before reusing the card for important events. No more transfer issues.Worth the money, especially if you've invested in fast cards and ssd drives.
