I bought this floodlight to replace a traditional halogen type which, with electricity prices as high as they are, had become unsustainable. The product was well presented and came with a decent user manual in a language I could understand. Installation was straightforward and it was simply a case of removing the old unit, drilling a hole for the new one and connecting the existing electrical cable. My only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to incorporate a clamp or grip to hold the cable more securely. Once connected though it worked seamlessly. Controls for motion detection and operating time are easily accessible and work correctly. At 3600L Lumen, the light is considerably brighter than my old halogen yet consumes a fraction of the power. Summing up, this floodlight is a good quality item, it does what it says on the can and is pitched at a reasonable price. Time will tell, but for now, I am happy to recommend to others.

Ideal light

Using this product as a garden security light, but is an electronic disaster have to reset it most days but only cycles twice then stays on permanently.No contact details too action 2 year warranty.

Works ok for a few months and 1 after another the leds start giving up. And finally after 2.5 yrs...its just stopped working. Its external lights, are you supposed to keep changing these every 2 to 3 yrs. Should last at least 4 to 5.

Relatively easy installation.

I found the lights easy to install although quite difficult to adjust the motion sensor to detect movement in exactly the right places. The sensor seemed to be more sensitive on one side than the other but this could be down to the items that I have in my garden. It is good to have the test position on the switch as this makes it easy to set up in daylight.The lights are bright with quite a cool white light and they are easily adjusted to any angle to light all areas required. The switching from the motion sensor is quick to turn on and accurate with timings to turn off again. I'm very pleased with this, it is good value for money.

Fitted quite a few outside lights for clients and myself over the years. For the price I really like this, as you can adjust the direction and angle of both lights and the PIR. I have no doubt I will be fitting more of them

In fairness, the lack of junction box was mentioned but I didn't twig that meant it was required. I had hoped to afix the light directly to the wall, but the tiny cavity in the back of the light wasn't sufficient to connect and tuck away the wires. They aren't in the main gallery but in the listing under installation you can see it requires a junction box. After a frustrating hour, I realised there was no way around it and picked one up from B&Q to do the job. You'd be better off purchasing a waterproof box on here, as it will be cheaper, the colour you want, and probably have a better seal.My main reason for writing this review is to confirm that installation requires additional hardware. So, if your wiring is sticking straight out of the wall, you may wish to check for other options, such as "flush mount" or "wall mount," which don't require a junction box.

Small but surprisingly bright! Unlike so many newer lights you can adjust the range and sensitivity. I do not have the problems with false activation that I had with my previous light. This location and flexibility of the sensor was a selling point. This is mounted 10' up near a side gate. I was able to get the angle I needed to have the light come on when someone approached from the front or side but not have the dog set it off every time he approached the fence from the yard. Setup was simple. It survived a hail storm so it's durable. The hardware is decent. The price was fair. What's not to like?!

The only disadvantage is that the lamp is supposed to be mounted on an electrical connection box.Otherwise it's working perfectly
