An inspiring and inventive hexcrawl
I'm not sure when or exactly how I heard of "Neverland," but it was a few months back. I found an entry for it on Amazon and had been keeping my eye on it. When it was ready for sale, I quickly bought a copy.I bought it primarily because one can never have too many quality hexcrawls. Whether you use them as-is, modify them, or simply read them for inspiration, a well-done hexcrawl is a great thing for a DM to acquire. And make no mistake, this is a great hexcrawl! Others have already contributed very nice reviews, so I'll keep mine short. The art and layout is top-notch. It is not only visually appealing, it has been designed for use at the table. And the content is imaginative and of high quality. I am no particular fan of Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, or the Neverland concept generally. But you don't have to be in order for this book to be a worthwhile purchase, since it is chock full of great ideas, maps, monsters, NPCs and situations ... virtually all of which can be plumbed even if you don't intend to use Neverland as-is. But the final product is so awesome, really why wouldn't you?I dove right into this book after receiving it, and had a hard time setting it down. If you are looking for a really good hexcrawl, look no further. Oh, yes, and considering the price and the beautiful tome you'll hold in your hands: you simply can't beat it.

Nifty Setting with Themes of Exploration
This is a pretty nifty module. I originally bought it to seed some ideas for my own Island campaign, but I actually want to run this as its own adventure sometime. This book is gorgeous, with cute illustrations, art, and text that really embrace the nursery book/fairy tale aesthetic. Lots of fodder for an adventure in a setting that is both nostalgic and more dangerous than you might think. The paper is good quality, glossy. Lots of maps and tables, encounter ideas, even narrative "stories" that you could use as plot hooks. There are several prepared character sheets, which might be great if you're starting a game with some new players. I was also thrilled to see a "centerfold" style, fold-out map in the back of the island in the back of the book.

Fun, exciting, with just a hint of terror
DMing a tabletop RPG is a kind of a bucket-list item of mine, but I've got a wife and two kids with zero interest in role-play games...until Neverland. Surprise, surprise, suddenly everyone wants to fight pirates, hang out with mermaids and fairies, while hunting for treasure! This system is compatible with any 5E games but can easily be adjusted for any game system. The rules and stats are very streamlined. In fact, I would say this is more of a book of ideas than an actual game system, and that's fine. The content inside and the way the maps, creatures, factions, and general mood of Neverland are presented is gorgeous. This is a gorgeous book.If you like rpgs, buy this book.If you like Peter Pan, buy this book.Don't like rpgs, but enjoy art? Buy this book.Just buy this book. Its quality and content are worth far more than the actual price tag.

Imaginative, Compelling, and Beautiful
The content here is ridiculous for this price. It takes all the best bits of the Peter Pan canon and weaves them into something new, something a bit darker, something distinctly Dungeons and Dragons. There's a staggering amount of content within this book, and it's all vibrant, detailed, and beautifully illustrated. There's hexcrawling. There's dungeon maps. There's fascinating creatures and NPCs. There's a randomly generated mega-dungeon. There's a parallel universe to slip into through the cracks of Neverland. There's so much here, and it all remains faithful and true to the source material, while also (ironically) making it a bit more "grown up." This is the best $20 you could ever spend on an RPG sourcebook.

Incredible quality
this book is a bit smaller in height than the other 5ed books, but the quality is way better. Nice thick paper, good thick binding, and amazing quality of content. The ilustrations are kinda minimalistic, but the content of the setting is very well thought and inspiring. The big crocodile for example is an actual living dungeon and there are maps here for it.If anything is lacking is actually a sample adventure or info about random adventures coming and itneracting with this place. That and some background info as how the characters ended up as they did. I mean, the little english kid became a lich. HOW!?

A encadernação é excelente.

Strongly recommend
Great book, as a tool for running a game and as an art object to enjoy. I'm a longtime gamer, and the material is lots of stuff that I can use for my group, in a field where too many books are bogged down with yet more players options that I don't really need. I have characters, I just need places for them to go, things for them to find and things for them to use. This book does that beautifully, and in that great OSR style that modern mainstream games are usually missing - the hexcrawl map with different encounters in different areas, with tables of things to encounter, to keep the experience fresh so the players could use it for many games and not get bored. I found it through a YouTube review by Questing Beast, and just knew I needed it. Great stuff, and the quality and format are a treat - so I want th hardcopy and not just the PDF.I do want to see an expansion of the book - the idea of adding the treefolk to avoid negative stereotypes of indigenous peoples as portrayed by the novel Peter Pan, was a great idea; however, I'd like to see what Kolb comes up with if he consults with indigenous creators, to see if the Indians of Neverland could even be included, as Kolb's got a great art style and strong game design instincts. And I'd like to see just... more stuff in Neverland, but that's likely because I'm getting all manner of ideas just knowing this book exists, and more now that I have it.I'm also interested in seeing what he does with game products generally, and would not be opposed to his working on material that can work with this, like Oz or Wonderland - as it's not just a gazeteer but does so by way of lots of crunch I can actually use at the table. Of course, I'm happy to be surprised by just about anything if he's got something different, and will be planning on watching his work moving forward. This format of product would be great generally, and I hope it becomes a template other creators use. No idea how the publishers managed the high quality with the low price point - feels like an Andrew Lang fairy tale book!My first thought of improvement for the next time around would be the fiction, as it looks great but takes up a good chunk of the back with its large font size and spacing - looks just like the actual Peter Pan novel, though I would have been happy with a small side booklet so I can use the main one for reference at the table.Really it's me being hungry for more content!!! I would have been happy with a dozen more locations, monsters, even tables of treasures and nicknacks to be found around the island. I feel like this book did the right thing providing the GM with an arsenal of fun tables to use to answer random questions, so keep it coming!Great work by everyone. I'm going to be loud about it to my gamer friends, so I get to see more material down the road. We're playing through a Grimm fairy tale sort of setting, so this format of book and this topic are a bullseye.
