Crazy good sound!
I didn't expect too much after having tried and returned a (different) desktop soundbar with sub-woofer just before getting the Z407. But man, what a difference! The left and right speakers are a bit bigger than I expected but of course, bigger can absolutely be better when it comes to speakers and here that seems to be the case. The entire product experience, starting with unpacking is excellent.

Nice Build, Great Sound
Great desktop sound, far better than my expectations. Well worth the resonable price

Yes & no, the GOOD & not so great.
Happy but disappointed in some areas. Let’s start by these are “computer speakers” & as a potential buyer, do not expect more & you will be fine. Hence 4 stars for such but perhaps 3 for other uses. Obviously they aren’t designed for throwing parties, playing in night clubs nor the home theater setup with a projector and or 100” massive screen. They are in fact pretty much just computer speakers and I’m pleased with that. I’m not a huge gamer. I only fly realistic RC simulators and or play golf & baseball games that are more than a few years old. These perform well there & I see no issues. However I anticipate the remote to be an issue, more on that later.Listening to music in general they sound fairly decent. Would these be my first pick to pair with my phone if I’m in a music mode, no I’ll leave them be as computer speakers. The bass, mids etc are noticeable as are lyrics across all genres except classical. If I’m streaming while working on a project on my computer, well then I am pleased. Now with classical music you do not have much depth or spatial sound & the bass disappears with some pieces so it’s a no go for Bach, Beethoven & Tchaikovsky. Depending on the age of recording I guess drums and large woods don’t exist in full sound, they’re missing ¿. But if you want some LL, Cube or Barry White the bass reappears.I do see a potential issue like I mentioned with the controller. It feels much more like a novelty than professionally designed feature. It lags at times and I question its long term survival. Additionally outside Bluetooth, they really lack any comprehensive choice of connections. You see the cost cutting there for sure.To summarize, hey a got a good deal on typical Logitech Computer Speakers but didn’t score a great sound system. They are worth it at the price point for general speakers. It is unfortunate you can’t control the sound any further than on/off/volume. But that may have been intentional to protect their lifespan. I dunno. Pretty much you’re browsing computer speakers.

As advertised - good value
Easy to install, nice sound for its price (especially nice due to the bass), nice looking

Great 2.1 desk speakers, highly recommend
It's all about the wireless puck. Instant love.I got these for my office. I have the z337 at home office and love them, but they're discontinued. I saw these and pulled the trigger. They sound slightly better than my 337s but the wireless puck is where it's at. Easy volume control, no cord. Quick tap to mute, back forward. Hold and adjust the bass. No more reaching behind the sub.Logitech did it again. I still have my x-540 5.1 on my gaming right. They're almost 20 years old and still kicking. Just like my 5 year old 337.I've never killed a Logitech speaker set. They're solid quality. Built to last. If you've read this far. Just buy em. You won't be disappointed.

Almost perfect for what I wanted, with a few nitpicks
UPDATE 30/12/21:Channel switching (the way you switch between AUX, USB, or Bluetooth), one of the cons in the original review, has started to be more bothersome than initially thought. I first noticed it when the puck's batteries died and had no more AAA batteries, so I had to buy some (there is no other way to switch without the puck). Then, I wanted to use the speakers both with my PC and another smart device at the same time, without having to physically press the puck's button (here comes into play my wish of it automatically switching based on what device's audio is playing), i.e. simultaneously.Sound quality-wise I still can't complain, but for other features, and taking into account that it came out recently enough (2020 IIRC), it doesn't feel modern enough.ORIGINAL:Bought these to replace some 8-9 years old Genius gaming speakers I had. My old ones had good volume and nice bass (also with subwoofer), but they had static and noise issues (probably from age) so I wanted something that could get just as loud, fill the room with sound, and have good sound quality; basically, be on equal or better footing. I'll just get straight to pros/cons, but do not get discouraged by me detailing my cons more which makes it seem like it's more bad than good; it's not the case.PROS:- The control puck. It's wireless and works on batteries, meaning fewer cables. This frees up space in my desk since I had a bigger, wired box for my speakers before.- The sound quality. These have more clarity and full sound than what I had before. Mids and highs sound clean, and the lows/subwoofer are also clean and don't rattle, while still being boomier than my old speakers. I'm a bass head, so I'm really pleased with the low end here. The volume can also get pretty loud and the sound is still clear. The room also gets filled with sound better.- Multiple audio channels. Can connect via Aux, USB, or Bluetooth. I mostly use Aux and BT, haven't tried USB yet but it shouldn't be that different from Aux really. It'd be nice if USB mode was able to connect to one of Logitech's software.CONS:- The speakers seem to have a standby/idle kind of mode that is based on inactivity (e.g. no audio has played in 15 minutes, but haven't actually tested how long it takes). In this mode, no audio will come through since it's basically off. There is no manual on/off switch so it does it automatically. My issue is that the way it turns back on is unfavorable since it needs audio to come through for at least ~2 seconds. The problem? If I have it connected to my phone or my computer, and I have notifications coming in, I won't hear them, because notifications play for less than a second, which is not enough to turn the speakers back on. I've missed many notifications because of it.- Had some issues with the left speaker port making false contact, so sometimes I had to turn the cable end a little bit.- It would be nice if the speakers switched the audio channel automatically based on which one is playing. Sometimes I'd have both my PC and phone connected, but it was in 3.5mm Aux mode and I was a little far, so I'd have to get to the puck and press the Bluetooth button to switch. It'd be nice if I could've just played something on my phone and it would just switch since the other channels are not playing anything.- The knob in the control puck does not have a turn limit, indicators, or anything, so you have to adjust the volume by feel (until you can hear the max volume audio cue or nothing at all). This is mostly an issue in Aux mode (and USB I'm guessing), since when using Bluetooth, it is tied to your device's volume, so you can actually see the percentage in your phone while adjusting the volume, or just control it from the phone.Overall, I think they're great and met my expectations, with those small issues.
