Superb little knife. Practical for gardening

Iconic is an overused word, but these simply designed knives deserve it. Very sharp out of the packaging and easy to maintain that sharpness. You need to regularly oil an Opinel and give it some TLC but it will reward you with excellent service until you drop it over the side of a boat like I did with my last one!There is not a better value for money pocket knife available but be aware, due to the locking collar, I believe it's technically illigal for every day carry in the UK. Mine is carried in my rucksack whilst camping so unless PC Plod is being really silly it should be fine.

where to begin..... this knife came next day delivery as a free trial of prime so good delivery. the knife is a little lighter then i imagined. however its so sharp. right out of the box i was able to shave with it . it was scary sharp. its like the scene in lord of the rings when gandalf touches that big sword and he cuts his thumb just my touching the blade. i don't quite remember if that actually happened in the movie its been a long time since I've seen it. but i think that's what happened. the locking mechanism is a little bit flimsy as its a folding blade unlike gandalf sword. the price is very cheap for what it is i bet you couldn't find gandalfs sword for £9.92 and free delivery! so i guess what im trying to say is good knife and i can easily defeat mordor with it.

This looked really nice to give as a gift, and had been well received. It's very sharp, and so useful.
