Fun but lacking in features
I wanted a red LED nightlight and this was the closest I could find. (As every astronomer knows, red light doesn't kill night vision. Plus it makes the room feel like Christmas.)This light has 11 LEDs with different colors: 5 red, 3 green and 3 blue. It has more red because they aren't as bright as the blue and green. There is a single button on the front; when you first plug it in, it cycles through the 7 possible color schemes. Each scheme is just a combination of red, green and/or blue; thus, there are 7 possibilities. When all are on the effect is more multi-colored than white, esp. if you look near the nightlight. It is also the brightest this way, and provides plenty of light for moving around in a large room. The problem is, you can't easily turn it off. Each time you press the button you go to the next color in the sequence, which includes the 7 color schemes as well as 2 modes than automatically cycle through the 7 colors, one with abrupt changes and the other fading between them, and off, for a total of 10 modes. So to get to red from off, it takes 4 presses, and then 6 to get back to off. Of course, if you miss the one you want, you go all the way around again. My young children like sitting there pressing the button until they are hypnotized, but it's a pain for me. If you unplug it and plug it back in it doesn't remember where you were but goes back to the first mode (abrupt cycling). And of course it doesn't have a light sensor either, so it stays on all day unless you unplug it or press the button (10 times a day). Pretty annoying after the first few days, though at least now I've memorized how many times to press it.The LEDs are all in the base, and you can easily see each different colored bulb as you walk by the light. The clear part above helps to diffuse the light just a little bit, casting a bunch of different colored little beams onto the wall behind it.The light seems reasonably well made and durable. It has one wider blade on the left going in, so it is only upright if the grounding hole is on the bottom of the outlet. If your outlet is installed the other way (as it becoming popular for safety reasons, or to show which outlets in a room are switch controlled) your light will be upside down. This is fun for children, is about the right brightness, and with some effort gives me the red nightlight I wanted, but it could have been designed a little better.

Love the design and energy efficiency!
I really loved this nightlight when I first saw it at an Airbnb where we stayed. The night lighting it offered was just right. When I got home I ordered it for my own bathroom. Still love the design and the energy efficiency of the LED lighting but I really wish the company would offer a choice of lighting that is not super white. I would prefer a softer, creamer light option. That would make this product absolutely perfect!

What I received was not as shown, but still pleased with purchase
I ordered this product from Amazon, thinking I'd get the night light depicted in their ad. What I received was different...looks like this instead: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/31Fu9zWxveL._AA160_.jpgHowever, the description on the website fits, so I think it is just an incorrect picture. Nevertheless, I was pleased with the "#NL5" I received. The wall plug is on a commutator that allows you to rotate the light at a 360 degree angle parallel to the wall and the diffractor casing also rotates 360 degrees and one side is opaque, so that you can direct the light. The 3 LEDs are quite bright, so I found it helps to have the opaque side facing the front, making it a little easier on the eyes. However, if you need more light, you can angle the translucent side towards the ground while the opaque side shields the harsh light from your eyes at night.Note that as is the case with all LED lights, they lose about 1/3 of their initial brightness after about a month of use, after which the output stays roughly constant for the remaining 50-100,000 hours of their life. Having the adjustable beam angle makes it easy to make adjustments after the initial brightness fades. This light has a photocell which turns the light on and off and will even dim the light depending on the ambient light. However, I find Feit's dimmers a little insensitive. As is the case with the Theatre-style #NL6, these lights tend to remain lit when there is ample ambient light, but at least they are always on when you need them. The downside is that the lights may use more electric & burn out sooner than anticipated because they're often on when you don't need them.Because of those minor quirks, I can only give this light 4 stars - but I certainly recommend it. Since I have switched to all CFL lighting in my house, these little night lights have helped by replacing the need to switch on the CFL in the middle of the night for less than a minute at a time. That will probably add months and years of life to my CFL bulbs, as CFL are sensitive to being used for less than 10 minutes at a time.

Coolest Night Light
Had one for over 7 years and loved it with its 8 or 9 colors. Perfect lighting… never too bright to keep you awake, but enough to find your way to the loo in a darkened hotel room or vacation rental bedroom! It died a natural death and I bought a new one!

No funciona como dice
Se supone que tiene un sensor que hace que se prenda la luz cuando está obscuro, pero no funciona. La lámpara está prendida todo el tiempo y no tiene switch para apagarla. Para apagarla hay que quitarla del contacto.
