No regrets, highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing musical instrument. I upgrade from what was my first keyboard, the Yamaha E-383 whichwas a great keyboard to begin with however, I wanted to move up the full 88 weighted key version. After readingmany reviews on the DGX-670, I decided to make the move. This thing totally blew me away on the performanceand sound difference. I mean, the E-383 is no slouch when it comes to features for a beginners keyboard but the DGX-670 is on a whole other playing field. Now all I have to do is become more familiar with what seems to behundreds upon hundreds of settings available to tweak the sound to what the person behind the keys is lookingfor. It's going to take some time to learn it all but, that's half of the fun in getting a piece of equipment like thisthat has it all. The other nice bonus with the DGX-670 is that, I can see no need to consider future upgradesunless I plan to upgrade to a full size grand piano. If I have any regrets, it would be that I should have started with the DGX-670 instead of trying out the smaller keyboard in the beginning. Also a big thanks to Amazon for offering the DGX-670WH at a price that was almost 20% lower than anywhere else. Not sure how they did it but sure glad that they did!

Remarkably nice piano
I bought this because the reviews said the keyboard action resembles a real piano. It does! I'm sure an accomplished pianist might find nits to complain about, but for an intermediate player it's terrific. The speakers sound fine, but with a decent set of open headphones (Grado) and with the ambient sound feature turned on I often forget that I'm not in a large performance space. I am trying to brush up on skills I (sort of) learned 50 some years ago and it is perfect for me. No need for maintenance or tuning, fits in a corner of the family room, and with headphones I don't annoy my wife, who can actually play the piano. It seems to have an awesome set of sounds available and I think this would be great for creators/composers.

Very nice keyboard, but…
I purchased this keyboard as a replacement for my Korg M 50 which is now pushing 20 years old. I wanted a better grand piano sound amongst other things and just an overall updated keyboard experience. I grew up having an upright piano at home and wanted the same playable experience as close as I could get within the price range, so when I saw this one had weighted keys I thought that was something I should purchase that would get me closer to an organic piano experience. while keyboard does offer three different settings from soft to firm for your weighted key experience, the softest one is still too hard for me. yep. You heard it. I just spent $800 on an instrument that is too rough for me to play. Would highly suggest if you can try one of these out in a store that you should do so to make sure the key experience meets with your criteria. I am not a professional pianist by any stretch but I play and sing and stream on my weekends. Also, coming from a 50 key keyboard to an 88 is this one is is just too overwhelming for me and I do not find that the skill I had acquired on the Korg transfers over to this keyboard. That is a very weird thing to say, and I suppose it just takes some getting used to.The Yamaha sounds are wonderful and it has many amazing features. I especially like the fills, starts and stops that it offers you for accompaniment. Also, it offers you the opportunity to learn and Music via downloaded sheet music that you get to see about 2 measures of at a time, as it allows you to follow the music notes while playing. It will stop you if you hit a wrong note. Great learning tool. Many well-known classical pieces included in this. I have tried clair de lune, fur Elise, ode to joy. It’s the typical classical experience you might expect for a beginning piano, while still offering room to grow.If it was not evident to you by the pics of the item, it is BIG and heavy and would highly suggest 2 people to move it and set it up in your house. I was able to do it by myself barely but not without several stops in between lifting it to where I wanted it. very highly suggest buying another expression pedal other than the one that is included here as it will drive you crazy. if you do not have adequate lighting to see what you are doing, you may be stepping on the wrong end of the pedal (it can get turned around very easily ) which does absolutely nothing. LolI did not buy the furniture base and therefore I do not have the three pedal set up that goes with it. You HAVE to buy the furniture base that goes with this unit in order to use the pedal system that is most like a regular piano which includes the three petals for three different expressions.as for MIDI connection, it is a very easy plug & play. Could not get any easier! Big smiles here for that. Lots of great things about the keyboard and I could recommend it definitely, just for my purposes unfortunately the weighted keys make it too difficult for me to play at any great length -and it’s so disappointing because everything else about this keyboard is awesome! Please learn from my mistakes and if your wrists are delicate or you are dealing with carpal tunnel or you type all day long or have a computer job all day long, you may wish to rethink weighted keys. I am a classical guitarist by training (over 40 years) and I also play concert Harp and I have never had issues like that playing those instruments. my hands and wrists just hurt after I play this keyboard. I have adjusted my settings on my Seat level and I am exactly where I am supposed to be, but my hands just hurt after I play the keyboard. May be my own issue there.

FINALLY!
FINALLY! I demo'd this keyboard at a guitar center and instantly fell in love with the feel, features, and function. Firstly, I love the sound options, metronome, USB/MIDI capabilities, accompaniment, patch programming, and am sure I'll love the many other features I have yet to explore. I'm new to piano and have tested many other keyboards at Guitar Center and after playing this one, I knew this was the right choice. I'm no audiophile and the speakers sound great when I'm practicing at home or playing around with the family, and the headphone jack make it easy to quickly jump into my own world of playing. The USB out is perfect for connecting to a laptop and doing online lessons, and even playing my lessons through the speakers when I want. I'm also learning songs for church and the USB has been amazing to run Mainstage sounds through the piano speakers or headphones. All in all I love this keyboard and it's perfect for my situation. I'm no gigging musician, just a dad looking to learn to play, and this crosses off all the boxes for me. If you're on the fence, I definitely recommend a demo at your local guitar center or piano shop to see for yourself, but this has been one of the best purchases I've made in a while and can't recommend enough!
