Q: Will it still work if it gets wet?

I just tried it and yes, it worked wet. Sounded quite loud. Another whistle that is very loud even when wet is The Acme Thunderer (made in England) also available at Amazon. It once saved my life in a scuba diving accident. While floundering in the ocean, I blew SOS and was heard all the way to shore; several miles away. I was rescued as a result. Still cherish that Acme Thunderer.

As loud as Fox 40 Classic with a slightly higher pitch. I love this whistle for my training sessions and refereeing on the pitch.

Q: Will this whistle work if it's wet?

This whistle doesn't have a ball in the device. In my opinion, it should work when wet. Even if a little water was inside, just blowing the whistle should clear any moisture out of same.
