These hinged tins are So useful & are a good size for making Survival Tins & at a good price. They are small enough to put in your pocket or a bag & light enough to not be cumbersome or to large to carry around with you. They are strong enough to protect the items inside, yet light enough to carry without being a burden in your pocket or a bag. They are really functional, look good & it's easy to create different arrangements of items to organize them for different usages. They are easily customizable to suit your own needs & easy to label to quickly recognize the right tin by labeling them for their intended usage. They have a decent snap closing lid, but I put a ranger band on mine just to be sure they stay closed & I don't loose anything from inside of them. I use them to make Survival Tins, with different usages for each tin. A fire starting tin, a first-aid tin, a fishing supply tin & a navigation tin, etc. They have a decent amount of space inside them for your items & being metal they are pretty durable & should last a long time.

They did not have enough protective packaging therefore 7 out of 12 tins had dints in either the lid or base so I can’t use them for my intended purpose.

I've bought a couple of brands of this size metal container. This brand is by far the best. The hinges work perfectly. Each container opens and shuts with ease yet does not open unless you assist. Nice fabrication. The metal is smooth and shiny.
