Laura Miller steals the show with unique approach to food
I don't label myself as "Vegan." I just tend to eat more veggies than meat so I'm always on the look out for good recipes involving veggies.Laura Miller steals the show with unique approach to food. I found her on Tastemade a couple years ago, doing a cooking show. Each episode was about 10 minutes (let the binge watching ensue), and here was this woman, who was genuinely EXCITED about food, totally goofy and being herself. She was not putting on a show like you would see on any cooking show on Food Network. She was just so relatable and that was refreshing. I just wanted to her hug and say thank you.The first episode I saw was how to make chocolate avocado pudding. I was entralled---I'm lactose intolerent as of recently (3 years running) and I know what pudding tastes like. I was longing for some semblence of my comfort dessert and she hit the nail on the head with this. She recently had a book signing in my town, and I got to meet this wonderful human being. She's introverted, all smiles and again, so relatable. She and her recipes just reflect the emodiment of goodness and how food can open up so many doors to feeling like your best self. I just made the cauliflower pizza and chocolate shake last night (which if you ate "normal" pizza and a chocolate shake you'd probably feel terrible and bloated, or in my case, like death, because of the dairy), and both were just SO great. The shake was dedcadent, and it was such a relief to have something so familiar, sans dairy, and know my body wouldn't try to kill me later.Even if you aren't vegan, you will enjoy her recipes. They are filling and so packed with nutrients that you won't ever have to worry about feeling guilty eating them. She's all about eating food that is good, and helping you understand how it makes you feel good. That's it. So simple.

Raw. Vegan. Not Gross. Is Awesome!!!
Laura Miller is awesome and hysterical. My daughter and I love, love, love her show on Tastemade TV and I was super happy to hear she was going to write a cookbook. Her recipes and prep style are carefree, no stress and you quickly learn that eating raw and vegan most of the time is very doable. I've had an aversion to dairy since I was young, but I'm from a generation whee cow's milk, eggs and cheese are staple. Thankfully my parents are children of West Indian immigrants and eating clean, fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch was the norm. Soda (or pop, if you insist) was not allowed in our fridge so I was spared that nasty habit, along with several other preservative-friendly, high sugar, inflammation happy food addictions.I have a cookbook collection with many vegan cookbooks, but this is my definite favorite. We've already tried plenty of Laura's recipes that we were able to write down from her show, so I know her food combinations work...well, they more than work. They're delicious!!!The cookbook is well-written, quirky, happy and funny like its author; colorfully and beautifully photographed, and chock-full of many of my favorite recipes.I'm looking to the next cookbook. Enjoy!

She is so funny and light hearted too
I am so excited for this book!!! YOU should totally buy this baby!! My family LOVES to watch Laura Miller's youtube videos and try her recipes. She is so funny and light hearted too. She makes things so easy and well...not gross!! I was strictly a meat and potatoes guy before. The only vegetables I would east prior to this book were baby carrots, potatoes and canned corn. My wife is a vegetarian so she eats lots of fruits and veggies and so do my kids who are six, two and 10 months. I bought the book and have eaten so many things that I wouldn't have before. The book has lots of recipes in it that are versatile for your whole family. WE ALL eat the recipes in here. I think one of the main reasons that these recipes are so easy is that she tells you how to make them with or without a dehydrator. She isn't bound by the rules of raw eating. She knows that it is very restrictive to be completely raw all of the time. There are a mix of recipes in here from normal SAD foods that have been made over into a healthier version (pancakes and crepes for example) to things that are not so normal for most people, but are still very tasty!! I love that she makes things so simple. My six year old keeps talking about his new raw food diet and his vegan, BUT NOT GROSS food. He's never been quite so excited to eat all these vegetables and fruits before. We are having a hard time keeping him out of the kitchen and out of the book.....not that that is a bad thing. I recommend this book for any level of raw food...from those who have never heard of it and are curious to those who have been doing it for a while. There is something for everyone.

Hilarious and delicious
Laura Miller's attitude toward food is so simple and beneficial. My roommate and I are just lazy marine biologists living in a small town who never take the time to eat well. We have immensely enjoyed following Laura's career after finding her on Tastemade. She has our sense of humor and kills us every time in her short, but hilarious videos. I've tried a few of her recipes before, and they are always delicious! It's allowed me to explore the option of moving away from my diet of tuna lunches and wine/cheese dinners to food that will make me feel better. After receiving my first copy and laughing outloud in public places throughout the whole thing, I had to grab another copy that I can get messy while cooking and lend out to friends. If you want to make some delicious food that makes you feel wonderful, and giggle your butt off along the way, grab this book.
