The first one is a couple of minutes of delivery. The Amazon driver left it at 90°F. I put it on the floor and it read 87°f. Texas is blazing hot. I put it in the floor vent and central ac is delivering cool air at 60°F. The last one is the thermometer on the fireplace mantle which is air temp of 80°F. Conclusion move. I had one of these and the movers didn't deliver some things this was one so I bought another. It's perfect to check ac or heat temp in the vehicle or any portable device or refrigerator. I had to replace this. Can't live without one. It's old technology but it works quickly, accurately and never fails. Its perfect.

Works as advertised

The inner markings are in degrees C. The outer is sort of hidden by the curvature of the lens. If you have young and good eyes you may be able to read it. I find I have to look through the curvature and that makes it difficult. When I look at the photo in the listing, the diameter of the card has to be smaller because you can see the F scale numbers in the photo, but not the same on the real item. It is responsive and appears to be reasonably accurate.

I thought I was buying "3" thermometers. When I received my order, I opened the Amazon box to find "3" boxes with 100 thermometers in each box! Not to complain as they were cheap enough, but my guys thought I was nuts when I showed up with 300 thermometers.They work well and there is nothing wrong with them.

Good to know the A/C vent outlet temp, it will let you know early of potential A/C problems

Says it goes to -40 degrees and only went down to +50°F. Bought it as a ground thermometor for my plants and it wont work at all. Decided to use it as a kitchen thermometer instead and it works for that.
