I purchased this and the Haynes just to make sure all the bases were covered. Think the Haynes actually is a little better, but if you want, buy em both since they each use different pictures and instructions. If you are just doing a little work, either will work, but trust me, having both has paid off, one book will explain better than the other, while the other books pictures will be better.

I recently took on a big project of purchasing this bike stock as a novice rider having never ridden nor worked on a motorcycle. I began taking apart the bike to redesign the model as a bobber. I did well with everything up until I ran into a few issues with running the bike so I decided to purchase this book. The information saved me a huge amount of cash. I was capable of processing the information and fixed the issues myself. I recommend that all owners of this model buy this book. You'll be glad you did.

this is my second Clymer motorcycle manual, and both have been very complete and helpful, both for minor things like scheduled maintenance and for major repairs. Each 'project' is explained in small steps, and each step is explained in detail so you can follow along nicely. Pictures are frequent and very helpful. I'd recommend this manual to anyone who needs guidance on any repair job.

Leaves you wanting a little more, but if you know your way around a bike then it is great. Love that the torque specs are right there on the page that I am on.

Was just what I was looking for.

My husband found a beautiful used Vulcan 800 and being as mechanically inclined as he is, wanted the manual on it. He hasn't used it yet because the bike was so nice but perhaps down the road he'll need it. Nice bike.

Great product so far as I've used it. I bought a used bike and had nothing from which to follow for repairs or maintenance. So, this is and will be helpful in keeping my bike in shape.It arrived quickly and in good condition and the price was right.

Pretty much what I expected. It's hard to cover everything in a book like this. Haven't yet had to use it yet!!!! But I am sure in time it will be of assistance.
