UK Travel Adapter for Type G Plug - Works with Electrical Outlets in United Kingdom, Ireland, Great Britian, Scotland, England, London, Dublin

This adapter worked great on my 2 week trip to England and Scotland. It is an adapter, not converter. I have a travel blower which has a 125 volt and 250 volt settings. I switch the settings to 250, and use the adapter with no problems. You can not use a regular American blow dryer with only this adapter overseas. There must be a volt setting change switch. The blow dryer was only $15, definitely worth the price. I have used this travel blower with an adapter for 4 trips to Europe.

These adapters worked perfect in Italy and did not break. The product arrived on time. I purchased 2 sets just in case they broke however I never needed the 2nd set. Great value for the money.

2019-0815While the original order of adapters didnt work for me (I really had no way of knowing the ones I received prior to my trip would not work), the vendor shipped me 2 of the CEF adapters should I need them on another trip to Europe in the future. It is important to emphasize -- the adapters were purchased & arrived at least 2 months prior to my trip. It was impossible to really discusss the issue with the missing adapters with the vendor or Amazon while travelling so it had to wait until my return. In that regard I am pretty sure the vendor would have made good on the order to provide the correct adapters if I knew in advance (by checking the package) that there were an incorrect type in the box. Given that, I changed my rating of the product/vendor to a 5.I bought 2 sets of these adapters and found out immediately (1) they didn't work on the Princess Cruise Line, (2) The hotel in Athens, Greece, the hotel in Rome, Italy, or the hotel in Paris, France -- or anywhere in between. Europe, it seems has converted or adapted to a 2 prong plug system. In Athens, I had to go out and buy adapters that fit and they fit in Greece, Italy, France, Belgium, and Spain - the places we visited. They were purchased on 05/22/2019 for travel beginning 07/10/2019 so it was already 1 month past the Amazon product return date of 06/22/2019 before I found out they would not work. It should be noted, the box contained 4 different type of power adapters - none of them were for the countries listed earlier.

Planning a trip overseas on a cruise line. From prior experience, I know they have one North American type A or B and one European type C (with a circular opening) or one Schuko type E/F. The type C will fit into a type E/F but the type E/F doesn’t always fit the type C. This is because the prongs on a type C is a bit smaller than the type E/F. I wanted to keep the ground connection of the type E/F and my older type C adapter didn’t have this feature (evidently type C doesn’t have a ground). Saw this version and thought it would be the perfect solution for me, at least on a cruise. Unfortunately, it is just a regular Schuko type E/F with the larger prongs. I already have several of these and didn’t need another one. I’m not sure if the type C socket has been upgraded to accept the larger prongs, but I didn’t want to take the chance. In older hotels I have had an issue and with the Schuko type E/F not fitting either because the prongs were too large or they still had the flat socket that didn’t accept the round Schuko adapter. Regardless, returning this item. Be aware it does have the larger prongs and is actually a Schuko type E/F adapter. Nothing wrong with it, just not a true Type C adapter.

There are so many adapters out there but, if you're traveling to the UK, this product is awesome. It's lightweight, very inexpensive and works great. I used it for one week in London and had no problems whatsoever. Definitely using it for my next trip. Highly recommended.

I was pleased when I chose these adapters for a trip to the UK and Europe. I picked out the two adapters I needed from the set for the countries we were visiting and they were small, light, and easy to pack. Within a few days of use (being plugged in once each day) the adapter had trouble holding the plug. I was using them with iPhone chargers--the small, square brick style--which are not heavy and I was careful with the adapters when I plugged and unplugged them. The adapter worked well for the rest of our 2 week trip, but I had to prop up the adapter when it was plugged in to make sure there was good contact. The set works, and was a good initial value, but overall I can't recommend them--I expected that it would last me more than a few days without issues.

I ended up only using the C/F (I think that’s the one) one for Greece, but it worked well with no issues. I did make sure that all my devices were compatible before using a converter only. I only used it to charge my iPad, iPhone, camera battery, and a portable charger.

We used two of the outlets out of the set of 4. They were necessary in different countries, and one was used in three countries (France, Germany, Slovenia) and another was used in Italy. Would have been nice to have two of the more frequently used one, and to have known which ones we needed to take. We had to take all and do it by trial and error. But were durable, sturdy, and portable.
