Winsor & Newton Artists' Oil Picture Cleaner 2.5 oz. bottle

Product is excellent for removing light dirt deposits on an oil painting. It really isn't that useful in removing varnish. Still, I use quite a lot of this in my restoration work and rely on it as the best pH balanced cleaning detergent for oil paintings. (Damaging to acrylics.)

It did not remove much of anything off the paintings. The paintings are over 100 years old and have not been cleaned for at least 60 years. I wanted to start with a mild cleaner but evidently need something stronger.
