It works! Wish I had it 6 years ago!
This thing is rather expensive for what it is. Should be about $40. That being said you will need to have a trailer hitch, ball or bolt on some kind of vehicle to make it work. Putting it together, instructions are rather poor, and it comes as a hand full of parts. An extra pair of hands would be useful. You will need some standard socket and box end wrenches. I suppose a Crescent wrench and some Chanel locks will do in a pinch. Once done I towed my trash can out our bumpy dirt road and back no problem. The spring clips were easy to use. I would not leave it hanging on the can, it could end up in the garbage truck or some thief might grab it.

Works As Espected, Easy To Use
I've used this unit both directly bolted to my John Deere lawn tractor and with a ball hitch (this unit allows both). It was easy to install in both configurations and worked equally well in both. Connecting and disconnecting the garbage can is simplicity itself. The Can Coupler (for the 2nd can, sold separately) is easy to use, though doesn't provide a lot of lateral support (to prevent the can from tipping). I remedied that by connecting my most "tippable" can first, i.e. to the main unit connected to the lawn tractor, with the more stable can behind, using the Can Coupler. I highly recommend this product.

Great solution for a long driveway!
We use this with our riding mower to drag our trashcan 100+ yards to the street. Works perfect! (I did install a second hitch that is taller and matches the hitch height of all of our pickups, the low stock hitch height of our mower and ATV are just a little too low for the cans, but that isn't the products fault)

Helpful, for sure
Great concept and works really well. But, such a cheap quality of steel. It will bend and get all out of shape if you make a turn and put ANY pressure on the device. Better quality steel and they’d have a pretty cool product.

Perfect for my use
With a little ingenuity I was able to make this work perfect for my 450' dirt driveway. Getting older and weaker, hauling the trash to the street was becoming a challenge particularly in the high winds of the AZ desert. I ordered the Garbage Commander and as I suspected, to attach it to my SXS trailer hitch or even my tractor hitch would have required me to lay the trash can almost flat to the ground. This would not only spill the trash but if the can were full of heavy items, at my age I would probably not be able to attach it without dropping it. I had a custom hitch made for my SXS and now the angle is perfect. I should have bought one of these years ago!
