This is a really cute tin & it came with a bunch of extras (mesh laundry bags and what looks like bra bags). It would be great for laundry soap/pods. However, we're using it for something else (Men uncomfortable with "women's stuff" stop reading now...).My daughter is allergic to something used in disposable period pads - even the organic ones, so we have the non-disposable, cloth ones that we launder (no different than cloth diapers, really, so if you did that then consider reusable cloth pads...If you're considering it, these are her favorites: Hesta Organic Cotton Reusable Cloth Menstrual Pads,First Period Gift (2 Pads) as well as the "old style" by this brand. The newer style by them she doesn't like. We also have these that work well too but feel more bulky: Period Mate Reusable Cloth Menstrual Pads with Bamboo-charcoal Absorbency with Wet Bag (6 Pieces) (Spring Fresh) ). Anyways, most websites recommend using small diaper pails for the used pads & that's what we've had for a year now, but she wanted something more discreet that would fit in a very narrow cabinet we have in the bathroom RiverRidge Home Ellsworth Floor Cabinet with Side Shelves, White. This fits perfectly and works great for our purpose. In the laundry room we have the diaper pail, so this can be dumped into the diaper pail or straight into the washer. The lid isn't super tight, but closes well enough to contain any potential odor (like a diaper pail does), and it doesn't say anything that would be embarrassing to a young teen. We don't use the scoop obviously, but the tin is absolutely great.

Was tired of using the cheap box and scoop that came with the cleaning powder we use for our laundry so found this as an option. It seals very nice and holds more than 1 entire 8 pound box. 1 scoop that it comes with is also the perfect amount of powder to add to a load of laundry.

Love this bin! It was actually bigger than I thought it was going to be. I make my own powder detergent and this container will fit an entire batch. The scooper has a hook that allows it to clip to the rim and the lid still fits nice and tight. Highly recommend.

I got sick of the boxes of powdered washing soda, Borax, etc. in my laundry room. This tin is sturdy, the color is great, it fits perfectly on my shelf, it's super easy to use with the scoop that comes with it, and the price was a great value compared to many others. I love it so much! ❤️

I gave this as a gift and the recipient really liked it.

I specifically bought this canister for the OXI powder. The powder was getting all clumpy in the original box, but I was able to pour the entire Costco size OXI powder into this canister. Given I had use some of the powder prior. I was able to break up the clumps with the little scoop that it came with; which worked pretty well. The canister sits near the sink in the laundry room. If I wanted to use the powder I just scoop it from there and walk it over to the machine. I’m not quite sure if the handle could hold up if you were to grab it to carry it. Overall, I was satisfy with the purchase. There seems to be small amounts of clumps when compared to the powder being in its original packaging. I would highly recommend this!!!

I really like this container. It is handy and sturdy. I used it everyday for washing powder. I have a very nice washer and it seems to like powder detergent the best. It will hold two boxes of powder at one time (small boxes). The measuring cup is very cool. I use it every time. I very much like that I use this with very little impact on the environment. Sure the detergent comes in a box, but that breaks down. One thing of note. Do not pick container by the lid handle. The lid is not a seal type lid. Use the handles on sides of bottom part of container. I don't move mine. It is just so easy to scoop and turn to release detergent into my washer.
