Outstanding Album
This is one of the best Peter Paul and Mary albums. It highlights some of the best writing they did and has songs they were the first to break like "And When I Die". I love this album and highly recommend it.

PP&M in SACD is the way to go
Recorded in 1962 at the height of the folk movement, singers Mary Travers, Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow gathered some original songs, and some inspired by Pete Seeger and simply enchanted listeners with their amazing harmonies and simple but highly effective arrangements. Highlights include Bamboo, 500 Miles, It's Raining and Where Have All The Flowers Gone, a song as topical today as when it was penned by the late Pete Seeger, with clear precise harmonizing and beautiful musicianship. The Sound of the hybrid SACD is superb and clearly eclipses my memory of the original vinyl release. Highly recommended for folkies and lover of great music making!

Glad I Found It
I purchased the CD to replace the LP, which I had purchased decades ago.I lack the vocabulary to say anything meaningful about music, but, really, what more is needed than:Peter! Paul! and Mary!

Fantastic Remaster on SACD
This remaster is great. My wife has seen Peter, Paul and Mary over 40 times. She has always been disappointed by the CD and her original copy of this album on vinyl had a lot of wear. I've purchased many vinyl versions of this album but even with the snaps and crackles, the music on my wife's original LP was better. This SACD has brought back a lot of the original LP's sound and may have surpassed it.We cannot wait for ORG's 45 RPM version of this album.

The Best
I absolutely love this album,"ALBUM"! I didn't continue to buy Peter, Paul, and Mary's music much past the 70's, but this was by far the best. Has so many great P,P & M songs. Hard to beat Mary's voice on Hurry Sundown, and the sweet melody of Kisses Sweeter than wine. 44 years later I still love playing Other Side of this Life back to back with the Jefferson Airplane's version. And I truly agree with another reviewer that P,P and M's is just as SLICK!

Good but not great
Okay but nothing really outstanding. Liked most of tracks . Seems that as PPM get older their music seems not to age well.

Folk debut
This is a very fine debut album by Peter, Paul and Mary. It contains such classics as '500 miles', ' Lemon Tree' , ' If I Had A Hammer' and' Where Have All The Flowers Gone?' A great track i'd never heard before was 'It's Raining' which is based on a nursery rhyme.A satisfying and enjoyable recording and very reasonably priced.
