Amazing box
This box is super worth it if you play or are thinking of playing black templars. Great value, amazing models and the box itself is even really nice!

Codex Damaged
Everything in there. Just a shame about the damage at the back. I’m assuming there is a fine layer of plastic applied on it in production stage and a little on the back has become.. saggy for want of a word.. No idea if GW/Seller/Amazon etc.. and I won’t lose sleep, but it’s a thing..

Great value box to get started - fun, fluffy, and excellent value.
I bought this because it was limited run and offered excellent value on kits I already wanted - the classic 'value box' play. I think it's fair to review one piece at a time:Black templar codex supplementBlack templar data cardsPrimaris Marshal (Primaris Captain rules)The Emperor's ChampionPrimaris crusader squad (10 sculpts)Redemptor DreadnoughtThe codex supplement (10/10) is by far the nicest GW book I've seen to date with the gorgeous 3e artwork - the actual content is fun and fluffy. A useful reference guide but most likely living on my bookshelf because it's beautiful and most of the game-useful stuff can be printed or photo-copied. Excellent item for reference but too beautiful to take to the LGS and risk a can of white monster splashing on it.The data cards (8/10) are in a nice little box and have a nice overall design. They're more practical and give me the luxury of keeping the supplement at home for the most part. They'll inevitably be obsolete'd by GW tweaks but a great handy option for keeping things close. The Primaris Marshal (8/10) is a nice fluff-fathiful sculpt that really does feel like a BT alternative to the eternally generic captain choice. He doesn't come with his own rules from GW but the actual sprue and variations are quite nice. A good obligate HQ choice if you're just starting with the box, and a handsome sculpt for sure. The emperor's champion (9/10) is a gorgeous sculpt - even more so than the marshal imo. He's an eternal mascot for the Black Templars and perhaps the most fun I've had painting black power armour out of the box, or across the BT range. He's surprisingly simple to paint, and one of the most gorgeous sculpts around if you're into the crusading knight aesthetic. He's not a great HQ choice in the rules, but it would feel wrong to NOT own one.The Primaris Crusader squad (9/10) is the fluffy ObSec choice for beginners. Banging sculpts for the price and the points, pretty core to the BT experience and they come with a lot of versatility for a basic troops choice. The sprue comes with A LOT of spare pieces for the bits box, no matter how you sculpt them and load them out.Redemptor Dreadnought - the 10/10-est. Absolute pain in the arse to assemble compared to the wide range of other, simple sculpts in the box. The assembly itself is fiddly and some of the click-in parts and positions require a lot more effort than anything else in the box - so it seems intimidating for a total beginner. The result, however, is one of the most loveable models to come out of the post-Cawl Primaris era and a wonderful little thiccboi for the collection. He has the rare distinction of being both great value in this box, stunning to look at, and a genuinely points-efficient meta-pick right now. Just take your time. The box OVERALL was a great spend and the looming Out-Of-Production nature made it a strong purchase. Excellent piece of kit for the money and a great way to occupy yourself for the foreseeable future with a value kit that offers fun, fluff, utility, and even a few great long-term picks for the army in the shape of the Redemptor and Marshal (if you're into the sculpt and want to run a "captain" ruleset).
