Best improvement to my WSM Smoker
I recently found a used 18" Weber Smokey Mountain. I know I wanted to cook allot of chicken and eventually ribs, etc.. the first cook I hung an entire 10 lb bag of Quarters and 2 halves at the same time, I had to buy extra hooks but it all fit. Worked out perfectly and smoked just right and even. I tried doing 4 halves on grates and they were all jammed up together. Next cook I hung 4 halves and plenty of room. Was easy to put together, just had to push into correct brackets for a super snug fit. Very easy to clean, I either scrub in sink with a scrub daddy and dawn or just toss in dishwasher.

Quick and juicy
Great addition to my 18” WSM. Able to easily hang two chickens cut in halves. They come out juicy. I’ve also done four racks of ribs that also come out juicy.I’m using my WSM more frequently now. Not just for smoking.

Great hanger for wsm
This is a great purchase for hanging ribs and chicken on wsm 18 inch. Easy to set up and sturdy. The meat hooks are high quality. I have used for several cooks now and have been very satisfied.

It’s amazing!
This thing works great and is the perfect complement to the Weber Smokey Mountain. I’ve performed three cooks now and each time the food has been great. I’ve hung three racks of beef ribs, and one whole chicken. My beef ribs literally fell off the bone and I never had to wrap them. My chicken fell apart while unhooking it.It takes some practice putting it together but once you get the hang of it, it’s simple to use from there. If I can lend some advice, practice putting it together before your first cook. Secondly don’t wonder or ponder if you should buy it, just do it. You won’t regret it.

Makes smoking easy
Assembly was nice and easy. Great value when comparing to other hanging systems. Was able to smoke ribs, turkey, and chicken much quicker than having them sit on the grate. Hanging the meat allows you to fit more food in the smoker and allows all of the meat to absorb the smoke flavor.

Did not work for me
First off, it was difficult to mount. It was almost like the unit was "sprung" which made it hard but probably needed to hold it in place. The meat hooks were fantastic. I also bought another type unit (also being returned) where the hooks were just bent wire, it appeared. The Pit Barrel hooks were pretty much Pro. When all was said and done, cooking ribs in this fashion was far to much work trying to get them in the place just right, etc. It may be that pit smoking just isn't for me, but I tried. I am not a novice at cooking ribs - I have several other smokers/grills - plus I had to trim down the ribs so they didn't hang too far down.
