Great service, great product!
This is a really great product for the price! The filter was packaged well, came within a timely manner, and was very simple to install. FYI, I'm using this filter as a replacement for a GE RPWFE filter. I simply removed the chip/sticker from my original GE RPWFE filter, stuck the chip/sticker to the back of the filter docking area, and installed this RPWF filter. On my fridge, within the settings i have the option to reset the water filter timer and everything has worked flawlessly. Most importantly, the water filter is doing its job and my water and ice taste great again! Great product and actually really great customer service. I received an extremely friendly email from a customer service rep asking if i had received my package and if i was satisfied with the product. Great service, great product. I'll be ordering again in 6 months.

Good flow , taste and price
I will give 5 stars NOW because it works great. The flow of my water is the best it has ever been. The family says the water tastes great. There is a difference between my tap water taste and what comes out of my refrigerator with this filter. I will update in a few months after use and if the flow remains consistent. Plus , the price is great.UPDATE: Ok, Its been close to two months of use , lots of use , and the flow is starting to reduce. My opinion as to why the flow is slowing down is the type of water I get from our supplier. Tap water has a funny chlorine metal taste. This filter has removed that taste even now. I feel any filter I put in no matter the make or price will do just the same. Everybody has different supplied water and you should take that into consideration before giving this or any filter a bad rating. This filter by far is the cheapest I have run into. So , on that note I will buy this filter again and would only reduce 5 star rating by a half point. I feel that my water supplier is the main culprit.

Replaced my RPWFE with this and google calendar
You aren't supposed to do this, but if you take the sticker off the original GE that came with it and put it on the correct side of this tube it will work but let you know that it's time for a replacement because it thinks you're still using the old one. That because the newer refrigerators require the filter to have a chip in it.The error message seemed to have gone away and I made a recurring reminder in google calendar to tell me every 6 months to change the refrigerator filter same as I do for the HVAC filters. Eventually the sticker will lose it's stick as I keep moving it to new filters but there's alway duct tape!Been in the fridge for about 2 months now -- no problems, clear water, MUCH CHEAPER.

Good Replacement
Easy to install. Fits well, unlike other options.Fishy water smell after a few weeks of use but it does not last long. For now, will blame it on our water :(

Perfect RPWFE Replacement
As others have stated, this works perfect on our GE Cafe' Refrigerator that requires a RPWFE filter. I just removed the chip off of the bypass plug and taped it on the inside of the refrigerator as others have done. (GE will send you one for free if you did not receive one). If you need to see how it's done, there is a lot of YouTube videos showing how to do it. It took me less than 10 minutes. The screen does say "Not Filtering" but it definitely is. I plan to set a reminder to re-order every six months. One thing I will note - on the new filter, the tabs were a little different but that didn't seem to matter as it plugged in and is not leaking.

Works, but produces water with a terrible odor
I bought one of these to avoid paying GE the outrageous ~$50 price tag for their brand. I knew I would have to stick the old chip on here and deal with the permanent "replace water filter" message, which seemed like a reasonable ask given the price, but I DIDN'T know that this filter would also produce smelly water! From the day I put this thing in to the day I replaced it with a GE filter (6 months,) every drop of water I got out of my fridge had this disgusting wet-dog smell. It tasted fine, I guess, but that smell just isn't acceptable.

Great filter. Don't buy GE products.
This seems like a good filter. It has good specifications. The water tastes clean. My GE refrigerator that requires a filter with an RFID chip. I had to order a free filterbypass plug from GE. Then I had to get the chip off it and tape it to the refrigerator. Watch a video out there to see how this is done. I will add this tip. The chip was very difficult for me to get off the glue was tenacious. What I did was carefully warm up the filter bypass plug with a heat gun until the plastic was soft under the chip then I took a utility blade and carefully cut the soft hot plastic under the chip to remove it. Then I taped it to the refrigerator and I can now use generic filters. It's a little tricky but it's worth it. My father always said GE makes junk. I don't know about that, the refrigerator seems okay but they are clearly gouging and taking advantage by putting chips on filters and then doubling the price for a basic charcoal filter. Vote at the cash register and never buy GE products.

Perfect fit! With some minor modifications...
This is the 2nd year I've installed this filter on my GE refrigerator - which takes the obscenely expensive RPWFE filter. Both filters are exactly the same, except this filter doesn't have the "chip".Water and ice taste great, so I don't see any difference between this filter and the more expensive RPWFE filter.
