Gobe NDX 49mm Variable Neutral Density Lens Filter

What a great product and customer service! I purchased a few for my Sony A6000 for recording video. I was expecting something cheap just to try since I'm new to this but what I received was top notch!The quality is amazing right down to the box it came in. I was very surprised after watching some youtube videos suggesting spending a few hundred dollars on one.I will purchase one for all my lens in the future.

The build quality, packaging and ease of use is fantastic on this. Plus I love that the company gives back. However I finally got our to try the filter in the field and it creates a very orange cast on images. If you look at the pictures I attached, you can clearly see just how orange it makes things (versus using no filter).It’s fixable in post-processing but Canon colour science is so good, I usually don’t have to do much if anything in post.I’m pretty disappointed overall, especially because I’m looking to big another ND filter for a different lens.

The packaging of this filter was very impressive. Much better than what you'd get from other brands - and not something I expected. The machining and finish of this filter is excellent with a very nice matte black and light tan-colored printing. Overall, the filter looks very well made. The ring rotates smoothly and the filter threads nicely on my lens. I haven't run any in-depth tests with it yet, but so far, the initial impression is excellent.

I'm not an expert or anything, but it does exactly what it's suppose to do. And cheaper than most others, definately an awesome buy.

Love all products from Gobe. This one is not an exception either. Perfect ND filter. Wish it came with a lens cap, since the one I have wouldn't perfectly fit on it. But for the price and quality, and planting of 5 trees, well worth it.
