Good value for the price...
I tested a selection of these after they came in the mail; all the ones I tested worked, but they are not precise. For example the 5549s produce markedly more resistance in both bright light and darkness than did the 5506s, but neither produced as high a resistance as what one would expect from the specs. Still, they *do* vary their resistance depending on brightness, and it will be easy to make use of these. You'll probably want to test individual resistance values to match the needs of your circuits. But they're usable and I like the value for price... so 4 stars.

These do exactly what they say they'll do. The resistance drops dramatically in bright light. It does change with intensity, but with a quick and easy voltage divider this can be used to drive a "0" or a "1" to a digital input pin to decide if light is present or not.

Great for fixing Heathco wall lamps.
Worked great. Used 4 to fix some Heathco Motion wall lights. The dusk to dawn sensor looked like it had corroded / rotted and the lamps were turning on and off during gloomy days. A little bit of soldering and use of a glue gun and all work great again. I used the 5539 photo resistors.

Great value, works.
Works properly. The bags are hand labeled, though some numbers are hard to read. I can't see any identifying marks on the LDRs themselves, so either be prepared with a light source, multi-meter, and data sheet or work with only one of these out at time.

Five Stars
Used this to replace a $20 Vex light sensor for 7 cents.

They work as expected.
I'm happy with this product. I ordered two packages by mistake, but that's nobody's fault but my own.

Nice price, nice product.
Used to make light/dark sensors for led's work great

Three Stars
It's OK, but not very accurate.
