F.M. Brown'S Song Blend Premium Shelled Peanuts For Pets, 3-Pound, White

This is what I feed the woodpeckers, Blue Jays and other hanging birds. It works great, very popular with the local birds. I've purchased many times from Amazon. Each time the peanuts have been fresh, soft, and of very high quality. I haven't tasted them but apparently not commenting on flavor gets my review rejected so I'll just say they must be tasty as the birds fight over them and quickly eat them all.

Absolutely must rate these birdie peanuts with 5 big stars. Am about to place my 4th order; have used 7 or 8 bags (3-lb size)already. The quality is consistently excellent. We haven't experienced the arrival of winter visitors yet, but these peanutshave been enjoyed muchly by our birds of summer...chickadees, titmice, cardinals, downy and red-bellied woodpeckerswhite breasted nuthatches, and a pair of bluejays. We live in the woods, really, and have been feeding birds and many, many graysquirrels out here for 25 years. To discourage the little furry ones, I use Cole's Flaming Squirrel Seed Sauce to coatthe peanuts. IT ACTUALLY WORKS !!!! (Have also used the sauce with oil sunflower seeds with the same success.) Initially, I chose the3-lb bag of these peanuts to just give them a try; had already used two other brands and was unimpressed with both. I continueto purchase this size for the ease of saucing/storing 3 pounds at a time. May need to go for a larger size when the winter gang gets here.

Until the peanuts came, I put black oil seeds in this new FL Wright style feeder. After a week or two, some adventurous house finches got in for the seeds. Now that I've replaced it with the peanuts, no birds have come. I was hoping for the titmice, theHairy and Downey Woodpeckers, and other small peanut eaters, which could peck pieces out.Will try again in late winter or early spring. Quality seemed OK. No rancid smell or bad taste. My own preference is with skin on just because I believe it stays fresher longer, but I'm not adament. I will probably buy them again.

I looked for raw, unroasted and unsalted peanuts at a good price to feed to our birds for several weeks after reading that they were loved by some birds we wanted to attract. I finally settled on this product and ordered. As soon as I got it and the pole we ordered at the same time (Gardman BA01131 Premium Bird feeder pole, which is GREAT by the way), we put it up and filled the tray either these peanuts, and safflower seeds and shelled sunflower seeds. Within the hour all sorts of birds found it and LOVE the peanuts. Eating the peanuts have been blue jays, cardinals, mockingbirds, and crows. These are a great product at a decent price. These will be gone soon and I will definitely order more.

I had been paying less for my peanuts but the weather was so bad I ordered these so I did not have to go out to the store. To my surprise they were shelled and raw....I must not have been paying attention when I ordered.At only lightly more for shelled ones than the unshelled I had been buying, they were a better buy than I had oginally thought.My birds and squirrels like them. I however have been nibbling on their roasted peanuts and found I did not care for the raw ones. But since I bought them for the animals I was happy with these and they were a good buy for my outdoor friends.

I reall didn't eat them and my birds can't tell me how good they taste.

Not sure why my patio wildlife weren't very impressed with these.

The birds and squirrels like it better than the other peanuts with the red skins on them. The other type are okay but they go wild over these. These are a little expensive though for the amount you get, but again, not one peanut is wasted!

These DO NOT have shells. Bag is ALOT smaller then it seemed online.

Its not worth the price for this crappy bag of peanuts, stay way and cant return
