This battery has brought my old laptop back to life. Previously if the power cord was removed I couldn't use my device. Running Ubuntu with quite a few emulation programs with VMs made it difficult to dig into a large project. Now I have the flexibility to walk around and continue working. Id say I get roughly 3 - 4 hours out of a charge with all the workload I put on the device it seems quite acceptable. Truly the benefit is the freedom to not be tethered to a wall. In fact I can now use my laptop for tuning my car again.

This battery reports it is only 74Wh, not the 90Wh the label claims. You can use BatteryInfoView, HWiNFO, or similar to view the capacity of your battery.

Battery looks to be high quality and fits laptop perfectly.

It wouldn't charge right off the bat for some reason. I ended up having to run the old battery all the way down, then restart the laptop on the new battery - without the charger attached. And THEN plug in the charger. The BIOS said the battery was fine, but the battery light was flashing orange / blue constantly. It might be because I swapped from a 6 cell to a 9 cell battery but that doesn't make much sense. It's odd, but works now - I got about 4 hours on my first test.

Just what I needed.

Bigger than standard, computer doesn’t show that it’s 30% larger, but it last >3 hr when standard lasts 2hr, so that’s all good.I made mistake of setting Dell bios to ‘express charge’ battery, just made it run hot and unreliable, fine once reset to standard charge in bios ( bios warned it might not work)Seller promptly returned email, restated that is warranted and could be returned if not happy.I’m very happy and would order again when need to.
