Great projector for van applications
I got this projector for my camper van (Airstream Rangeline). I chose a projector over a TV setup because it's more compact and flexible than a mounted TV. You can move the projector around to different places in the van, or set up the projector outside if you want. This unit is perfect for this application. It will run off of 12v directly, meaning no inverter is required and it won't waste battery power converting DC to AC and back to DC. It will play media directly from USB or SD cards. The 64GB limit on SD cards is a bit annoying and I hope they can upgrade that. It will mirror for Android or iOS so you can stream from your phone with no cables. Bluetooth connection to external audio works well, and the built-in speaker is has reasonably good volume by itself. The lens creates about a 40" diagonal view at about 4 feet distance, which is perfect for vans where the throw distance is limited. The one minor issue I have is with the touch panel on the top of the unit - it is very hard to use and registers touches intermittently when it shouldn't. Happily it comes with a small remote so you really never have to use it. Brightness is good even in the daytime, and fan noise is not bad either.

Disappointed
Super disappointed! I purchased in Nov 2024 and I wish it had stopped working then so I could have sent it back for a refund instead of now months later and I’m stuck with this trash. Bluetooth won’t connect, the remote doesn’t work, the buttons glitch, etc. Such a pain in the butt. I wish I hadn’t spent my money on this product

Brighter than I imagined, good picture, responsive tech support...
I watched so many true crime episodes on YouTube that they put me to sleep now within five minutes, but holding my phone so near my face in the dark felt like it was bad for my eyes, then waking up to find I sleep texted people was uncool. I mounted the P8 onto a little mic stand, and projected it onto the wall sideways next to my bed while I fall asleep. No more cellphone elbow either.I haven't tried it in broad daylight but it is super bright in the dark. I think there is a brighter boost mode which I never felt compelled to explore. Plus you can adjust the picture in case the lower and upper corners don't match (if you are projecting at an angle) - which most of the peers don't support - and remembers the screen settings. There could be some improvements in the user interface, but for the price I think it is the best bang for the buck. I sent suggestions to the tech support regarding the menu system and they replied with appreciation and their business is actually located in California: support local business and buy AAXA.

Difficult to use with wall mount. Short bulky power cable
The picture is good. Brightness adequate to need. The onboard sound is excellent. The little remote is nice but frustrating since it has to be pointed specifically at the back end of the device. I bought this to use against a wall as a TV replacement. The mount is a standard camera wall mount thar fits the mount point on the device. The power plug makes it impossible to mount correctly as it impacts the wall and will not allow correct orientation. Also the hdmi plug placement will not allow an angled plug to be used in the location i need. A straight plug will not fit in the space available to the wall. If the power plug was side mounted or even an angled plug it would be easier. Ideal would be a usb powered device like my other micro projector. I am satisfied with the usb and tf card connections and have used some of the onboard apps. I have not been able to add any of my own applications however and my one trial use of the browser caused swearing. It would be a decent little device if only a few things were changed. I will be returning since I can't wall mount it as intended and none of the cabling I have will permit me to jury rig it to work.

Convenient but customization options are kind of limited
The media could not be loaded. This projector is super small and portable; it is smaller than the iPhone 13. This is perfect for people with limited spaces. I think the projector would also work well with people who travel and people who like to organize outdoor activities. For a mini projector, the picture quality is great. The projection was bright enough for me to cast directly onto a wall. The system is very user friendly. It offers options to cast directly from streaming services (including youtube, netflix, etc.) and screen-mirror android and iPhones. It is easy to set up; took me around 10-15 minutes. The projector comes with a remote control and a small tripod stand. The remote control is nice. However, the tripod stand is flimsy; you might want to find another mount for the projector. A big downside is that the projector doesn't have a battery and needs an outlet to work. When I was fumbling through the functions, I noticed that the options are pretty limited. For example, there are only 3 brightness options (high, medium, low). Besides these drawbacks, I think the product is great.

Sucks 👎🏼
Spent over $200 for a piece of garbage. While the picture is ok, the lag is crazy.. the remote sucks, the projector buttons suck, the stand is flimsy and does not help at all.. I wasn’t going to write a review just for the remote or the projector buttons, l actually upset about the Bluetooth that does not work.. the sound is good but really low volume , your ear has to be right next to the speaker to be able to hear it. I have a few Bluetooth speakers at home that I tried connecting with, and it won’t connect. I havnt if watched a full movie on here yet. I tried messing with it for about 40 minutes trying to connect to Bluetooth. It does not connect.. at this point I hope the seller reads this and accepts to take the projector back and give my money back.. I have bought cheaper projectors before for under $100 that work way better and connect to Bluetooth speakers..
