Did the job on a scratchy volume pot on a vintage hollowbody electric guitar. The needle applicator allowed me to apply through an f hole right into the side of the pot. I've been using this stuff for years and it's one of those items that live up to the hype! If you need to protect connectors from oxidizing or losing connectivity, this is the stuff. I've never had problems with it harming plastic parts. I use it mostly on electronic assemblies and treat every connector with it. I've used it on downhole oilfield electronics that operate in a very high temp environment and it has made a big difference in performance and reliability.

30 years regularly cleaning electrical contacts and I've never had better. One drop does the job, and with my latest bottle I cleaned all the pots, sliders, and switches of both of my audio mixers (8 and 24-Channel) so they sound new again, and it looks as though I didn't make a dent in the bottle. Great stuff for any electrical cleaning and lubrication! 5 stars every single time!

i saw some one on youtube use this to clean their game cart and also put some in a pot for a 2600 paddle.so i got some and boy does it work well! especially for cleaning the contacts on a virual boy for the displays after solder fixing them. i also tried it out in the volume knob and and its as smooth as silk after applying when turning it and the sound is no longer crackly. it works way better than wd-40! all though the price is high i will be using this sparingly. one thing i really like it the fact that it absorbs in to tiny cracks making it easier to oil a pot.If you work on old electrics this is a must!

unquestionably a great product. It worked the first time with no further application necessary. It cleaned up the scratchy sound right away and it continues to work well.

OK, so I left off a star because I'm still "feeling the dent" this purchase left in my wallet. Having said that, I've never used anything that works better. Until someone shows me something that does (and at a fraction of the cost), I'm sticking with THIS.

DeoxIT's hands down the best anti-oxide, contact-reconditioning agent out there. A tiny dab of DeoxIT revives battery contacts, electronic-chip conductive surfaces even after years (of heat) glaze-coating. It brings them back from intermittently, or complete failure. Highly recommend this formulation. Bottle's not big, however, you don't need but a tiny dab to resuscitate electronic circuits, batteries, USB cable ends, etc.
